As a home grown left footed attacker I really can't think of many other than Saka at Arsenal in this country he is the going rate.

If we had a choice, what would people see as a better purchase overall?
£40mil for homegrown Gordon
Or
£30mil for Zaniolo

He might turn out to be a good buy for Newcastle, but I can’t help feel that he probably stood out for Everton last season because he was one of the few players to play with enthusiasm.

Has Zaniolo actually lived up to his potential?

He looks good and he seems to have returned well after 2 acls but still not really ripping it up in the Italian league. All I keep seeing is excuses, like the manager hasn't been using him right.

He has never played outside the Italian league as well.

The only reason we want him is because apparently Conte wants him.

Not saying I particularly want Gordon but Zaniolo seems an incredibly optimistic signing at this point.

If it's not a loan with an option, I don't think any of us would realistically want a permanent signing at this point.

To be honest I'd take both on a loan with an option and neither on a permanent deal (Paratici has affected me)

Try before you buy, we should do this with every signing from now on

Thank god we didn’t get him. Appalling attitude.

Between this and the way he handled the move from Everton it's clear he's bought way too much into his own hype and needs to sort his head out.

Kid could easily end up going the way of Stephen Ireland or Michael Johnson if he's not careful.
