Sad to see him go but will be proud of eh moves to a team like Milan. Seems like a shy lad so good to get out of his comfort zone.

He’s got to stay fit though and that seems his problem, if transfer markt is correct in the last 2 seasons he has missed 38 games, so essentially a full season through injury, loan with an easy to meet buy obligation of £15m ish would be absolutely fine with me
Yeah I'd be absolutely fine if the loan includes an obligation.

Seems like a lovely guy in the documentary and he definitely has potential but I can't see how he ever makes it at Spurs given his injury record and the players ahead of him. We'd be wise to cash in while we can. Another year injured/on the bench and he'll be worth a lot less, while staying with us won't do his career any good either.

Even though we have added Forster, If we let go of Winks & now Tanganga as well - it could mean we may need to go into the market for 1 more HG player.
Our next CAM/CB signing could very well be homegrown.

Not fussed if he goes. Maybe he does go on and do well if he gets regular first team football somewhere, but he isn't getting that opportunity with us any time soon.

Good luck to him in whatever he ends up doing. Seems like a nice kid.

Surely we need more cover at CB then?

Going by this graphic, which intentionally leaves out Winks and Tanganga, looks like we're set in terms of

Association Trained (4)
Forster
Spence
Sessegnon
Sayers

Club Trained (4)
Kane
Skipp
Lavinier
Austin

Even if we let Rodon go, we will have 8 players for HG in the league (as I can't see Lavinier and Sayers being registered for the league)

Forster
Kane
Skipp
Sessegnon
Davies
Doherty
Spence
Austin

So any more HG players will be bonus as things stand.

EDIT: Of course, some of those younger players could get loans etc i'm only considering the CURRENT composition of the squad, whilst accounting for those reports of certain HG players looking to leave.

Don't think Lavinier is club trained. We only signed him from Chelsea 2 years ago and he's already over 21.

EDIT: And Sayers is 18 so he doesn't need to be registered for the PL.

Spence would come under U21 quota. Key is we cant register over 17 Non-HG.
There are still many permutation combination to go given we dont know who will stay & leave. But IMO if we let Tanganga go, with Sess Over 21, we would need another HG to be safe in CL. Hence I see one of the next 2 signings to be a HG player

Spence was born in 2000 (same year as Sess) so would need to be registered in the senior squad.

Does seem like this one will happen. I’m curious to see the structure of the deal. I think Tomori’s is likely the blueprint we will be after (loan with option at £25m). Same age (23) at the time of the deals, same position, background, etc. Really hope he stays healthy and does well for himself. Said previously him not making it here shouldn’t be considered a total negative, but instead as a potential win for the academy and it needing to be more of a revenue producer.

I find the whole thing really strange. Tanganga is likely swapping our bench for Milan's. Yes AC are a bigger club than us but I really don't see him having much better chances to start consistently, which he really needs to kick on. A lower prem side or title chasing Championship team where he has opportunities to be starter each week would make much more sense imo.

I suspect he's considering Fikayo Tomori's situation to his own and has seen the potential to make great progress at Milan. Romagnoli has left Milan to join Lazio leaving a space for a CB to come in and fight alongside Tomori (24), Kalulu (22) & Kjaer (33). They are in the CL too. Hope we organise a buy back clause if he were to leave permanently but hope it works out for him.

"AC Milan have offered Tottenham €2 million for Tanganga’s loan and €14 million for the option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season. Tottenham coach Antonio Conte has already given the green light to the player’s departure but the Premier League club would prefer Tanganga to leave with the obligation to buy instead."

I'd bite their arm off for that amount.

Good luck to him. Spurs lad. I'm proud of him and hope he smashes it at AC.

He's had a handful of absolutely superb games for us. Especially City at home and away the season before.

But personally, I'm always a bit on edge with him. Like he could get sent off at any minute.

To be fair to tanganga I've always thought he was controlled aggression and used his clearly superior strength against the likes of Foden, grealish, mane and salah.. against Zaha it was a different scenario but Zaha could wind up the most placid player anyway.... he has a resting whinging bastard face that is just crying out to be lifted into the stands first chance you get. He was bad against Chelsea last season though! Good luck to him if he does go and we may live to regret it.
