The AC Milan which had players like Gullit, Rijkaard, Van Basten, Baresi, Maldini, Kaka, Shevchenko etc is long gone.
Fair one. I don't follow other leagues at all so am speaking from a position of ignorance really.

I know what you mean - when I was growing up, they were the absolute business. Some incredible players

If they didnt lose to Liv in Istanbul, that team of Dida, Cafu, Nesta, Stam, Maldini, Pirlo, Seedorf, Gattuso, Kaka, Shevchenko & Inzaghi probably goes down as the best of the last 20/30 years.

Some big names there, albeit some coming to the latter part of their careers

But they’re still league champions and in the champions league, I hope Japhet goes and smashes it like Tamori has done, however I feel showed more for chelsea than Japhet has for us

Italy has been buying from england and scotland for a few years, much like the netherlands and germany with some success and now i think they are much more open to the UK market than they were in the past. The fact that the italian league is a step below the Prem at the moment in terms of depth of quality means squad players here have the potential to be first team players there. Plus strength and size in defence seems to go a long way in italy at the moment. I hope japh gets to go there on loan with an option as it would be an amazing opportunity for him and could provide him with a solid career.

Tottenham is in Italy, more precisely in Milan. The London club's ds, Fabio Paratici is busy with the exits and went to the Lombard capital to meet with managers and market players.

Among the meetings staged was one between Paratici and Milan. A meeting to talk about Tanganga, a 1999 class player owned by Tottenham that the Rossoneri club likes. A summit to understand the conditions: Milan would take the player on loan with a right of redemption. Not only the English defender however among the topics of the meeting, but also other redundancies such as Ndombele and Reguillon who are not part of Conte's project.

Interesting. Definitely think NDombele would be a good fit for Milan. Doubt they can afford his wages though.

Still not sure what his best position is. I think Jose said right back and I can see that but of course we don't play fullbacks now. He could maybe learn the right centre back role, not sure Milan play 3 at the back? He hasn't had much time to train that formation due to the injuries so I can't help feel the option to keep him after a loan would be best. If he develops his game as a right centre back he could be worth keeping for next season.

He's not getting anywhere that RWB position anytime soon, I reckon he has 4 players ahead of him there in Doherty, Royal, Spence and even Lucas now. As you say he's a better fit for the RCB position, but then that will be rotated between Romero and Sanchez. As it stands, if Tanganga is going to get some decent playing time this season he will need to do that at another club. Hope we can sort him out with a decent loan move.

I said right back rather than wing back so hence not suited to Conte there, I can only see right centre back for him under Conte. Although Sanchez has done well when covering at right centre back if Tanganga could adapt to that position and have a strong season on loan he could possibly replace Sanchez next year. I can't see Sanchez really getting any better and having a homegrown who is younger with potential to get better could be a good replacement for him.

Surprised he is heading to Glasgow with the team with talks going on about him going on loan.

I'm not sure how many have traveled, so could just be everyone bar the ones that didn't travel for the first 2 games.

It's fairly telling that Romero and Hojbjerg have stayed on when tanganga and Sarr are on the bench. I think that means the two of them are close to being off on loan.
