I looked up Spence on FM22, (did the same with Richarlison), was just curious.
Spence's stats were fucking awful. Like single digits all round apart from pace which is bad even for a championship player, doesn't mean much other than I guess it shows that he came out of nowhere last season. Found it surprising that FM scouts rated him so terribly attribute wise.

What was his potential like? Most youngsters on FM have very low stats that will suddenly bloom if they are played regularly and trained properly.
FM is handy for checking players out but it’s not the be all and end all.

One of the reasons is because he's fast on the game which has a higher weighting than other attributes and the other probably that he's due an update on his stats, usually FM lags a few months behind on youngsters imo. I expect on the next version he will look better.
