You mean Manchester ‘Globetrotter’ City? Walker’s a very good athlete but I don’t know how many assists he’d get in a Conte system. Just seems a bit unbalanced having Peresic crossing on one side and Spence not crossing on the other. When you look at Robertson & TAA contributions I don’t see why we don’t try to replicate that.
Considering Conte was desperate to sign Walker for his Chelsea team per multiple reports, I think he'd have done just fine.

Can't see Gibson giving a fuck about how it looks. Just wants to win the negotiation and get more money imo.
Actually couldnt be more wrong. He is seen as a bit of a hero.
Hometown boy, bought his hometown club and brought in players like Ravanelli, Boksic and Juninho.
He helped save the club from liquidation in 1986, bankrolled the building of the Riverside stadium and regularly puts his hands in his own pockets.

He is not your normal owner, he is not in it for financial gain

Far from it, he is Mr Middlesbrough FC and everything he does is for the club, the area and its fans. He is, afterall, one of their biggest fans
He can be all of the above to Middlesbrough, but still doesn’t stop him from being a knob or complete bell end for anything outside of Middlesbrough I.e views concerning transfers and what he thinks is being clever but will cut his nose off to spite his face 15 + mill is more beneficial to Middlesbrough than sweet fa.

I agree to an extent. However, this is a man who routinely puts money in to keep the club afloat. He might, rightly or wrongly to us, say fk it, they pay it or they fk off and I/Bulkhaul will put more money in to cover the lost revenue.

No one knows what he will or wont actually do, I suppose

I guess the question is, if we move on from Spence, where do we go? Seeing as wingback is quite a specialist position, will we look to buy a RB or RW and try and make them fit? My knowledge of modern footballers is poor, so can't suggest anyone. Only other name I've seen mentioned is Singo?

I understand what you’re saying but it’s pretty unsustainable and as a business man that’s hard to graft to earn his money should know this but seems to be extremely blinkered as his pockets can’t and won’t be bottomless for him and his business the repercussions could very bad to catastrophic but hey his choice personally I know what I would do .

Personally think that’s why we’re starting to here things about Gordon young has all the attributes and young enough to be moulded into a rwb of top quality under Conte and still home grown.

Some other names that have come out in the press are Clauss from Lens (29 y/o late bloomer with incredible stats), Dodo from Shakhtar and Maehle from Atalanta. I'm sure there are plenty of others under the radar too.

That scenario would likely transpire if Boro wanted to keep Spence. But the plain fact is that they don't. Boro will sell Spence regardless. If not to us, then they will likely get less. Gibson might be stubborn. But he's not stupid.

I agree, i would personally sell, boro fans would personally sell (for about 2mil may i add), but Gibson has in the past bankrolled the club rather than sell for less

We'll have people lined-up, do not worry. We'll have a RWB by Friday.

I hope you take this post in the way I'm intending it because it's from a place of hoping I can give you advice with myself being somebody who might be the outlier of the human race in terms of being sensitive. A few of your posts recently I feel like you take perceived criticism quite hard and I hope I can help you not take it to heart. I'd PM you but that's a nono haha and I could be wrong but as I say it's coming with good intention so I'm happy to wind up with egg on my face if I'm wrong.

Whilst we all appreciate the info you give us, you yourself are not the information, you're a contributor to this forum the same as any of us and just because some info might end up not panning out doesn't reflect poorly on you as a person, if people are disappointed, they're disappointed with the information, not you.

On the occasion that somebody is shitty enough to make a post which is directed at you, that sucks but what I've found helps is to realise how poorly that reflects on that individual and you can immediately lower the value of that persons opinion to where it doesn't impact your self esteem. If somebody chats shit then it doesn't reflect on you, it reflects on them and they're the ones who will be negatively judged, not you.

If a deal goes wrong, it's all good, we're gutted a potential player didn't go through but it's not your fault, you're sharing the info you've been given, we know Rob and A&C run a tight ship on who is allowed to give info and you've provided enough info to where those of us who pay attention know you've got a good track record so you have nothing to prove if things go wrong. As I say though, your value to this forum isn't attached to being ITK, we're grateful you share but you're a spurs fan just like the rest of us and there should be no pressure attached to being kind enough to give us exciting info.
Love this post mate
