Love him as he's such a good left back that he can either play in a flat back four or as a wing back and be equally effective either way.

It's amazing how far he's come from joining us as a raw left winger / midfielder, to being converted to a left back who showed a lot of promise but then struggled a bit, to then coming back and in general being awesomeness personified.

the color guy doing the game coached him on the England U21 team and made the same comment during the game. He gave a lot of credit to Poch.

My favourite player, he's absolute dynamite, first class attitude and never ever bottles a challenge, always spurring the other lads on aswell. What a role model

I can certainly imagine him being Poch's favourite player. For me, Danny Rose is Poch's vision on the pitch.

Who remembers at the start of last season when we were all struggling to pick a clear preferred full back pairing? Kyle or Trips right, Rose or Davies left?

Well that feels like ages ago now and goes to show just how much Walker and Rose have really stepped it up in the last 18 months or so, as the other two aren't bad players at all.

I'd go as far as to say Rose is currently one of the top 5 players at the Club now.

I didn't struggle at all.

He picked up his 8th booking last night. He'll get a 2 game ban sometime which won't do us any favours. Hopefully after Liverpool away at least.

To lessen the effects of the suspension, perhaps get a yellow deliberately aganist West Brom and then Shitty, serve the suspension against Sunderland and 'boro as a deserved rest and come back full of beans against 'Pool.

dont know about that. in the States the commentator giving the game narrative is the play-by-play guy and the one adding commentary is referred to as the color guy. he adds "color" to the narrative. it has nothing to do with race.

Thanks for the explanation. Never heard of this term before so in my mind ( being black) it stood out like a red flag to a bull. Can never beat being further educated or informed! (I have changed it back)

His improvement over the past 2 seasons has been unbelievable really. I never really rated him for a long time and thought we could do much better but now I'm struggling to think of a better left back in the league - he has become top class and a huge amount of credit should go to the lad to have put the work in to improve his game. I'm sure Poch has had a big influence on his development also.

Luckily we have a good back up in Davies. He's not as good as Danny but a very strong back up.

Again- and this is by far, it isn't even close: Danny Rose is the most wrong I have ever been about a player in my life. I'm usually actually right about players- or at least if I'm wrong I'm not totally far off- but this guy has made a fucking fool of me, made an absolute fucking MUG of me, and made me eat my words.

Long may it continue. :D
