I'm surprised his name has come up to push forward

I thought he was dropped back down an age group (more back to his age group)

he hasn't been dropped down.

the u23s didn't have a game so he played for the u18s after coming back from injury just to get some match fitness, otherwise he's been permanently in the u23s and has been one of the best performers in a really good side.

he's also captained england this season despite playing up a year group.

Do you think he’s ready to break through?

no but he's progressing well and has a lot of potential. he has more to his game than most midfielders.

i'd have nile john and harvey white ahead of him right now in terms of readiness but i don't expect to see any of them this season(despite what the itk has suggested).

Maybe I miss read the article.
It said that Scarlett and Devine would drop back down not long after Conte joined. I assumed that would be back to the u18's. Or they thought Devine was training with the first team

He’s elite I knew since day 1. I saw Foden and Mount at 17 and he’s just as good if not better. I have zero doubt will be a very very big player for us.

Talk of a League One or Two loan next season, would do him a power of good to get regular competitive football. Hopefully Conte will have enough senior squad players to fill the bench and won’t have to rely on stuffing it with Academy players.
