Why aren't teams prepared to be yo yo clubs any more? It used to be that teams would spend 2-3 seasons between the PL and the championship, before establishing themselves in the PL, did Leicester really expect to stay up?

I think that incident yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back. He seems to be a proper thug grabbing McArthur around the throat like that and then not letting him go. Was funny seeing Pardew totally bottle it though  no way a manager should let another manager handle his players like that. Where was his headbut yesterday??

I think it's to do with the McArthur incident. His behavior at the time and his interview on MOTD was just weird.

Always surprises me - they said themselves, they didn't expect to even get promotion, regardless of how much they wanted it, and arrived without the funds to bring in any substantial talent - to have gotten the results they have so far, in my opinion, is admirable. They've dithered - they needed to either put up the cash to make a real fist of surviving and if they didn't feel Nigel was up to the task bought in a different manager at the beginning of the campaign, or let him stay on, if you get relegated then you've got the same guy at the helm who guided them to promotion first time around, only this time you can look forward to a substantial umbrella payment should you do well enough.

Thought i remember seeing that the LCFC board said they would spend money IF they remained up, that they had a plan of how they wanted to do things over the next 5-7 years but it was dependant on staying up. That said, they did spend a little bit of money in the summer....but Paul Konchesky is still a starter on their squad so obviously they didn't address enough.

It was only a matter of time for Pearson i think and his stupidity yesterday just sealed it.....I'm sure Timmy will be keeping an eye out in case the QPR position goes sideways (and i saw it might be because Tim wanted roughly 2x the wages Fernandes was interested in offering.)...

I'm glad. Never liked him, always comes across as excessively arrogant for my liking.

Bloody hell, why didn't I watch the end of motd, first I've seen of that no wonder he's been chopped, you can't have managers behaving like that.

Seems a really strange guy. Anger issues quite possibly. Not the first time this season he's got involved in a bizarre confrontation and reacted OTT.

The incident saturday was really odd, but I don't see the point of sacking him at this point.

He also had a go at his own fans earlier in the season. He seems to be a bit of a liability at the moment.
