If a game ends in a draw the managers should have to play a game of bum slaps.

The manager who can't take the pain forfeits the game and the other team wins.

(If you don't know the game get off your playstation and go play football in the park during the 80's & 90's. If you can be arse to do that, it's penalties but the manager in goal is bend over facing the wrong way )

I think that would give Fat Sam an unfair advantage.

Champions league playoff for teams finishing 4th-7th would be fun to watch and add a bit more excitement to the end of the season, especially if the title race is over

I'd say third to sixth. Runner up gets knockout stage (4th place).

Introduce a timer for substitutions. If a player hasn't left the pitch within say, 20 seconds they still have to go off but the substitute isn't allowed on. Would eliminate piss take subs like Aguero's yesterday. Take off the player furthest away from the dugout who subsequently takes half an hour dawdling as slowly as possible to the touch line.

The worst part is that they had already announced the sub, yet didn't bring him off due to an injury. Then when they decided to make the sub he knew what was coming so stayed as far away as possible.

They could just make a rule that however long it took to get the player off the pitch, the player coming on has to wait for. So if aguero took a minute to come off, city have to play with 10 men for a minute.

Got a couple of others.

I think homegrown goalkeepers should be "free" in terms of taking up a PL squad place aslong as they are under the age of 30.

Also I think every team should be able to make a 4th substitute but it can only be an u21 homegrown player.

Would never happen because of laws but I think it would be amazing if there was a £30m cap on every transfer window. You could still buy big £50m+ players but that would eat into your next transfer window. Example: Chelsea buy a player worth £50m in the Summer, in Winter they can only spend £10m. Would add so much balance to the league.

Not sure it would. The top teams would still get the top players but for less money and the middle of the road teams would end up overpaying for average players as everyone's prices would inflate towards the cap.

I need to necro another thread - both for personal thrills and because I had a great idea.

Lot of talk about how there's a generation of kids who will lose a chunk of their education, teachers explaining that it's not a case of just "catching up" with extra sessions, etc. and I think I've figured out how to both take full advantage of the situation AND give those kids an opportunity of a lifetime.

There's thousands of children who now all have a "gap" in their formal education but their technological and psychological development has been uniquely affected - video calling, once a pipe dream in films, has become their primary source for learning and communication, and all of this in various forms of isolation from their peers for extended periods...

Send them to Mars.

We've needed resilient people who are able to handle long periods of relative isolation, or able to adapt to living with a small number of others in confined conditions for really long periods and we've now got thousands of children and young adults who are either adept or experienced with tech and have a "gap" to fill in their head - fill it with training to become astronauts and become the pioneers for when the technology we have in development starts to reach a point in maybe twenty five, thirty years from now, that we can seriously consider it a possibility.

You just KNOW that Emperor Musk will want in on that, he'll probably fund the entire globes project if it was proposed, so why don't our government get on board, get those kids into massive suits and helmets and fire them into space on Elon's dollar?

Sorted.

Right, what's next? Global warming?

On it.

Been saying this for ages. Would love to see this implemented
There supposedly is a PGMOL league table, it's just hidden from the public. I can't remember where I heard it but it was a podcast with a former ref not so long ago.

I think part of the problem is that there are so few refs. The FA, the Prem and EFL need to have a massive investment in refs. PGMOL just aren’t up to the job.

Looks like your epic bump has been missed- everyone’s gone straight back into planning changes to refs!
For me, the European super league proposal must be played on Mars too. Take it or leave it

Like this a lot, i would go further and allow up to at least 3 additional spots on the bench for u21 homegrown players. That way they could get more game time and involvement as they aren't taking up a needed bench spot during a game.

Or even simpler, don't stop the game for substitutions.
