A major new rights deal means there will be 25 per cent more games broadcast in the UK and 3pm WSL games could be shown too. Premier League fans have been warned of the possibility of Sunday night kick-offs as part of the next television rights deal out to tender this autumn.

Weekends could be crammed with action, with four TV kick off times mooted for Sunday alone, as the top tier sells an extra 50 matches to broadcasters. Some insiders anticipate extra matches will be accommodated in the schedules by Women’s Super League proposals to move to the Saturday 3pm blackout slot.

Great, even more inconveniently timed games for the match going fan, at least I’ll be able to catch them on telly…

Get rid of the ancient Saturday 3pm blackout and broadcast one of those games each matchday.

Would make far more sense to do this, or even a compromise and let the EFL have that as a live game slot, to free up other time slots at the weekend for the premier league.

Why oh why won't they get with the times and have a streaming platform where we can pick which match we want to watch if there are multiple at once (3pm Saturday, 2pm Sunday, midweeks). Nah just add a later time slot onto Sundays, you know the day of the week with less public transport..

This harms the match going fan(of course the last people on their minds though) & the international viewers. Later in the day/night in majority of the world, Monday morning in Asia & right in the middle of NFL in the states. Brilliant idea. Let’s do it.

They could even hold back exactly who is going to be shown for the 3pm Sat game until the day itself.

TV season tickets for your team of choice should be available with other games available on PPV once you’ve bought a season ticket.
It’s unfair that I don’t get to watch all spurs games even though I pay for sky, bt/tnt and Amazon.

It would result in the league become more and more uncompetitive. One of the main reasons the premier league is popular is because it is relatively competitive.

Not necessarily, would depend on how the contract is created.

So will clubs in Champions League with a Wednesday match be expected to play a Sunday evening game , that will probably mean another three hours off of their recovery time

Let me guess, US telly networks who just want matches to show at a normal time for US timezones?

Leave football alone you pricks.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?
