I think it is less of selling Lennon and more that he want's to leave to progress his career.

I think its more of a case of Lennon being sold than Lennon wanting to leave. We are the highest level team he could play for. A move away will inevitably be a move to a lesser club, especialy as he's not good enough to warant being 1st choice RM next season. But it seems to be working out ok for Defoe since he moved to Pompy.

For that money - all the best mate and be on your way!

Yes please do....add Jenas but withdraw Kaboul and Boateng.....you haven't got a clue on what these players are capable of.
Kaboul had to play with Dawson.......and we know that Dawson needs a babysitter of his own even though he has played ALOT of games for us.

We haven't got a working midfield so it can't be easy as a promising player coming to England from Germany and make an impact......especially when not even making the squad until Ramos got here.

To be honest, I think some of us (and I probably ought to include myself in that) went way over the top about him two years ago, the same way we did about Dawson. Now we're getting a reaction setting in.

You say four seasons, matt, but one of those was with Leeds floundering in the Championship, and Jol used him pretty sparingly in 2005-2006. Last season he had quite a few problems with injuries, and there were persistent rumours that getting a World Cup call-up had turned him into a little Billy Big Bollocks and that he was pissing off both Jol and Levy. He hasn't had quite as much real playing time as you might think—a lot less than Bentley, for example.

Will he develop further? I'd like to think that he can, but no-one can say categorically one way or the other. What I am pretty sure of is that he, like the strikers, needs better service from central midfield if he's going to be fully effective.

And you see Jenas as top quality i suppose

I feel sorry for you since that means you've actually never seen and could understand what quality is. :-|

Yea yea yea, and your opinion is more correct than mine.

check the stats of 'with Jenas' versus 'without jenas' - and im talking about in an attacking and a defensive sense.

spose your a fan of Zokora and The Hudd as a partnership?

Mate, you wouldn't know quality if it was hanging out the back of your missus!

:bs:Go support west ham. mug

F**k it, i'll explain to you very slowly.... take you forward with baby steps. Lennon is, as a footballer, worth about 7 million pounds. That would be taking him on face value, not knowing his age. He may become worth 25 million, or he may get worse, and in a few years be worth 3 million. Therefore, given it is impossible to predict how much he will improve, or whether or not he gets a bad injury, selling him for 215% of his true value is only common sense. How good is Bale? he's worth about 10 million. And I would maybe want 20 for him, but we still can have no clue what he COULD be worth. Therefore when someone is offering to pay 10 million pounds for unknown potential, the sensible man has to take it. Peace.

Small club mentality. I feel sorry for you. You're probably one of those fans who think berbatov is too good for us. Fans like you make me sick. Sell Bale? Please fuck off to west ham.

 smalltime fans disgust me.

Naive, clueless and unrealistic fans are what make Spurs fans so disliked.

we're 11th mate, 8 points from 10th - we're not challenging the top 4 yet, and thats where Berbs needs and should be.

Fack it, lets go and sign Kaka!

Clueless? Explain to me how you expect to challenge the top 4 if you sell players like Berbatov/bale etc? it makes no sense.

Oh dear!

The point is young Jedi, that Berbs will not stay with Spurs cos we say so. We wont want to sell him, but like Carrick, we wont keep a player that is being lured to the big time.

Its not that we're a selling club, its that we aint good enough to keep world class players. We're good enough to keep top class players, but not world class.

I never said to sell Bale?!?!?!

what if bale becomes world class? sell him too? Pathetic. Small time fans.

tut tut - someone didnt take their medication today - or is it the start of your easter holidays?

try and get your head around what I ma saying, then when you have removed the large chip off your shoulder, come and taste some humble pie!!

ITS NOT A CASE OF US WANTING TO SELL BERBS ITS A CASE OF BERBS WANTING TO LEAVE COS HE WANTS CHAMPS LEAGUE FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!

With that said (again), it means that we are NOT good enough for Berbs at this point in time - understand?
