Looks more like leaked by someone who want to sell the player.
Why would we push the narrative that we're willing to pay 50?

The crux of this story is that rather than buy a highly rated 22 year old defender Daniel Levy is going to spend loads more money on a 27 year old that no big club ever seems to have wanted.
Whatever we think about this guy that is not a credible movie screen play is it?

I've been impressed with him. Questions over his pace though? I keep thinking he's slow.

This is where the scum beat us. They would not sacrifice their pursuit of a quick cb, requisite for a manager's higher line. We easily could, and likely will.

Very good player.

Agree with others though, would be a random one to turn to because the price will be high

I don't believe we're interested. When he signed for Palace for £15m in 2021 was the time to make a move, if we were going to.

Great fit for Ange system. Thought he was excellent at Fulham and was disappointed we didn’t try to get him before Palace. That said, not sure how he’d fare in Jose or Conte’s systems. Would love to see him in a team that plays on the front foot, as his passing technique is first class.

He will make Newcastle’s defense even more formidable. Sadly, he may be a bit too expensive for us, unless we can work out a player exchange… EG: Rodon on a permanent and Spence on a year long loan.

My cousin is a lawyer (sports law) in Copenhagen and he was actually Joachim Andersens legal counsellor when he signed the contract with Crystal Palace from Lyon... 😊

But I don't have any ITK on this Spurs-rumour... sorry guys... not good enough 😏

Wasn't he one of the players Poch is runoured to have turned down when the club offered him along with Teilmanns?

He is slower than me and I’m a 56 year old carrying 3 stone to much. could only be bought to make Dier and Davies look nippy

I actually like Andersen. He's a very good defender with very good passing range. He's one who can definitely step up to the next level in a better team. Has Toby vibes about him. If he's the panic buy option. It's not a bad panic buy.
Completely agree, only issue is he’s 27 and ideally would like our CB signings to be quality but also slightly younger to set us up for years like Tapsoba & VDV but if it’s one of those 2 and Andersen then I’d just about take that as you say JA would in theory really suit Ange's style of football.

FWIW a client of my son is a long standing and well connected Palace fan who is convinced we have agreed a deal to be announced soon.
He rates Andersen highly and is very annoyed that CP are letting him go.
Pinch of salt…

I can’t see it for the price they would be wanting.

I would certainly take Andersen, good player, good leader.

What's hard for me to get my head around is in terms of similar players (data-wise) the number 1 comparison is Tosin, haha. When you factor in that Adarabioyo is HG, 2 years younger, and in the final year of his contract then I find it hard to think we wouldn't just swoop for him.

I've always really like Andersen whenever I've seen him play, good defender and very good on the ball. He's never struck me as particularly quick though which is definitely something we are missing, and no way should we paying anywhere near £50m for him.

Would be great cover for Romero and I imagine it would be coupled with Sanchez going out at the same time.

VdV/Tapsoba coming in for 2 of Dier/Davies/Tanganga and we'd be very well off.

Not as sexy as some are getting their hopes up for, but we'd have very solid depth and a more complete squad to suit Ange.

Or in 4th is Eric dier who we already own and many spurs fans want shot… doesn’t inspire thoughts that he would be accepted by the masses. Does sound like we have 4 or 5 deals lined up and are waiting to decide on our primary target before committing to any others

Palace would want top dollar for him, at the price they'd want there are better options, I just don't see any stars aligning on this one at all.
