Not that i believe there is any truth behind it, but would you take £16m for Lennon and look for a better replacement? I do believe Lennon is great prospect, but his lack of consitancy can get annoyin...i'm sure know we can do better..and £16m would be a great profit from the £1m we paid and great bit of business..what you think?

From tribalfootball.com

"Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is keen on Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon.
The People says Spurs boss Juande Ramos is ready to let the winger lead his summer exodus from White Hart Lane and Eriksson is ready to pay the £16m that would get the 21-year-old. "

hes not used properly, we have players who prefer to run down blind alley ways than look to ship the ball to the wing, plus he allows the right back to overlap as he usually hase more than 1 player covering him, hes good technically and his final ball is getting better and better, hell be as good as if not better than swp in 2 seasons.

I'd like to see him and Hutton play together on the right for a couple of months first to see if they can gel (I think they'll be a much better partnership than when Chimby is there). If Lennon can't take a step up with Hutton behind him then I'd be very tempted to take £16m for him.

No thanks.

Lennon still a developing player and there not many players like him around. I don't mean to compare him with Ronaldo but it took him a few seasons before he started banging the goals in, If/when Lennon starts adding more goals to his game he'll be priceless.

I would take 16m in a heartbeat. he may be fast, but there are slower, better wingers about (think petrov and bentley for starters)

What squads exactly could he improve? On his recent form maybe Southampton or Colchester yes.

Right.Selling a 20 year old player based on bad form. How about selling the shite we don't need first?.

Rocha,Gardner,Kaboul,Boateng,Robinson,Tainio(better than zokora IMO), Stalteri,ghaly.....i could go on....

Money isn't everything.

We thought £18.6m for Carrick was a good deal, until we failed to buy a midfielder with the proceeds.

I honestly don't think we've shown any real improvement since the 05/06 season & we've gotten rid of Davids, Carrick, Mido, Stalteri & Defoe in that time, with Tainio & Lee being dropped to being squad players.

Now we're looking at selling yet another key member of our most consistent team since the prem began? great.

I agree that most of them should go too. But Lennon has been poor for a while now and loads of people have been saying it. Only recently have other started to believe it.

Most of our players have underperformed this season, I think it's unfair to single out a 20 year old who seemingly has no leadership from any teammates.

i think Ramos would get 2 very good foreign players for one Lennon. He doesn't scare teams like he used to. he wouldnt get in manu or arsenal teams so why should he be in ours? take the cash and move on

Your right most of them have underperformed. Daws, Lennon, Robbo, Zokora (ok maybe he is just rubbish), Hudd.

But Lennon for a winger needs to do more to justify his place in the team. A winger needs to either create or score goals.

Lennon does not score enough and i am amazed at how poor his touch is. I am sure it was nt this bad when we first signed him

spot on. I think players like Jenas(25), Zokora(26/27) and Malbranque(28) etc are fair game....they have no excuses for being inconsistent.....or lacking experience/bottle...it's pathetic...

we don't need the money...and if we do....the list i mentioned.......could easily fetch over 10 million combined....
