Lennon is young and inconsistent, and we dont have that many better options in midfield at the moment. JR needs to get his own men in during the summer if we are to improve on yet another wimping out in the Uefa cup.

the thing is being still young we can bring consistency into his game, we have time

So, who's going to be shit next week then?

Chimbonda, still :wink::)

In all serious people, we have such a young team. I don't think major changes are needed, as some people seem to be suggesting. 3 signings in important areas will keep me very happy. Hutton, Bale, Kaboul, Boateng, Bent - all 24 or under.

Patients my lovelies :)

Chimbonda he played quite well yesterday, My odds are on Jenas, I think fans willl resort into laying it out to jenas, because they are used to booing him. And he missed the pen to win the tie.

Of course i WILL BE SUPPORTING THE TEAM ALL THE TIME

^^^ Nuff said really and for all those doubters that have forgotton what Aaron is capable of

Fantastic. There are 5 crosses in that whole fucking compilation, and what I find best of all is that almost every clip ends just before the final delivery. Of these 5 cross there are three which are in the air. Of these three in the air all are floated crosses, not one has any curl whatsoever. Lennon can't kick. This compilation proves it.

And I will just reiterate my stance: I think Lennon has a lot of talent. Superb dribbler, breathtaking pace and close control. But I just think that a winger with a great cross on him would be a better option.

To be fair, when the Arse were quality, winning stuff and not being spanked 5-1 their wingers, Overmars, Pires, Lungberg, Wiltord, etc hardly ever crossed the ball. They'd play it wide, but then cut in, or pass (rather than cross) from the flanks.

Lennon doesn't necessarily have to be a good crosser of the ball to be an effective player.

A fair point But.... the above mentioned players all posessed a major goal threat with a good strike on them.

Lennon's shooting technique is poor, in my opinion (currently). Also I feel he will need to drive into the box more to pose more of a threat. like the players mentioned.

I am a lennon fan and sure he will improve greatly and he is very effective now.

I look forward to seeing him develop not only his crossing but the other aspects as well, over the coming seasons.

a couple of papers say that he's gonna be sold in the summer. he flatters to deceive and he's too small and doesn't like a tackle and only has one foot (that's why he's been useless on the left), but worst of all...he wears gloves!

Obviously from your user name we know which side you are on. But cut the insults because Biggsy is only saying that this story is in the newspapers. If I tell you it was also on SSN this morning are you going to call me an idiot?

i have to admit i skimmed through his post. i thought that was his opinion....fair enough. Even if lennon isn't good enough he would make an excellent back up to whoever we get to replace him. The more wingers we have the better.....because at the moment we only have 1.

I can't for the life of me see lennon being sold in the summer as as lennon321g says we only have 1 winger, we should be adding to what we have and not sellin g the only 1 we have.

SSN reporting it means nothing, they are about as ITK as the people who pretend to be ITK around the Spurs sites and nearly all of their info is 2nd hand and ripped from the papers.

Apparently his omission from the starting line-up on Thursday is a clear indication that his days are numbered.

I think this summer will be one of the most active and interesting in our history. I don't see much point in keeping a player who doesn't track back and can't take a good corner. Alot of defenders have worked him out this season. In any case, he won't want to sit on the bench at his age "as back up". If Ramos can get £8-£9m for him I think he will take it.

It's all far too early for speculation and our own personal opinions and favorites will always cloud the issue, however, will the collective WE, start to question senor Ramos (or Msr Comolli) when a clearout occurs in the summer, which may include several of the players that are considered the 'future' of the club.
If Lennon, Zokora, JJ and the HUD for example are sold on, we have to respect that they don't fit with the style of play that Ramos is trying to achieve.
But as I said, speculation and paper talk at the moment.
I don't care if we don't win many games before the end of the season, I just want to see us playing attractive passing football, with a bit of end product. (Whoever is in the team.)
