Worked for us too to be fair.Benefits of having a number of clubs hoover young talent and you can give them game time till good enough for Leipzig. Ain’t a bad model
How’d you meanWorked for us too to be fair.
Starting in/around 2002 (when I became a Spurs fan) and afterwards, Levy's approach was to sign up and coming young, preferably UK talents who hadn't made it at a big club - Carrick, Huddlestone, Lennon, Davenport, Walker, Naughton, Rose, Dawson, Bent, Jenas, Bale. We did the same with other players from abroad as well (with less success) - Berbatov, Modric as being good examples. The sales of those players and reinvestment of the proceeds into new players and infrastructure has been crucial to our growth as a club. How’d you mean
With RB the model it is a bit different. The RB clubs in other smaller leagues such as RB Salzburg scout players, buy them, integrate to RB playing culture and once they are good enough send them to RB Leipzig.Starting in/around 2002 (when I became a Spurs fan) and afterwards, Levy's approach was to sign up and coming young, preferably UK talents who hadn't made it at a big club - Carrick, Huddlestone, Lennon, Davenport, Walker, Naughton, Rose, Dawson, Bent, Jenas, Bale. Got it my point was more because of the amount of clubs RB own they can assure decent prospects football. Progress to Leipzig being the best they can offer before selling. This advantage gets around the poor loans and loan strategy we’ve hadStarting in/around 2002 (when I became a Spurs fan) and afterwards, Levy's approach was to sign up and coming young, preferably UK talents who hadn't made it at a big club - Carrick, Huddlestone, Lennon, Davenport, Walker, Naughton, Rose, Dawson, Bent, Jenas, Bale. You're right, they've taken the strategy and perfected it. Would be interesting if Red Bull ever bought a real heavy-hitter club. Wonder if they could feed talent up and up creating a monster of a mega-club.Got it my point was more because of the amount of clubs RB own they can assure decent prospects football. The red bull Tottenham hotspur arena has a rather grand ring to it doesn't it?You're right, they've taken the strategy and perfected it. Would be interesting if Red Bull ever bought a real heavy-hitter club. Wonder if they could feed talent up and up creating a monster of a mega-club.
Arse ring maybe, we can’t have red in the grounds nameThe red bull Tottenham hotspur arena has a rather grand ring to it doesn't it?
Is this serious? Is this a joke?
Now come on ... red has many other connotations besides those knob jockeys ..... could be Liverpool, a well slapped backside, the colour of sunburnt skin, a dogs lipstick when he is a bit too pleased to see you, red hot, tomato ketchup, a nice shade of saucy underwear..... don't let those charlatans down the road impact on missing out on some of life's pleasures.. its not healthy ???Arse ring maybe, we can’t have red in the grounds name
Seen as a generational talent, plays LCB the position we are actively looking for. Brings the ball out of defence really well, good long range passing. Looks really assured and calm for someone so young especially playing at CB.Have to say I've largely ignored this link so far as I'm not familiar with the player.
He appears to be very highly rated, but £70m+ for a 20 year old CB sounds bonkers to me. Not that I'm against the idea in principle, but can anyone explain why the price tag is so high or whether he is indeed the best option we could be signing?
Admittedly that is slightly older than De Ligt was when he moved to Juventus for a similar fee, and I absolutely would have supported us signing him for that amount at the time.
Hard to think of a better fit for the LCB role in Contes system. Great ball carrier and long-range passing. Very strong and mobile. 6ft 1. Aggressive in the tackle. He looks better suited to the PL than Bastoni IMO.Have to say I've largely ignored this link so far as I'm not familiar with the player.

Ticks all the boxes for us. Athletic, a good interceptor and tackler, and good with the ball at his feet. Definitely a generational talent.Have to say I've largely ignored this link so far as I'm not familiar with the player.

We’ve already been told part of paratici job is to ensure the continuity of the system and players fitting a system, so a manager will be brought in to continue that. We have a short list of managers will ensure that already drawn up.Hard to think of a better fit for the LCB role in Contes system. Great ball carrier and long-range passing. The slight concern for me at that fee is whether long-term he would be quite as elite in a two-man partnership, especially as there is a similar question mark over Romero. Also the fact that Conte will have long since moved on by the time this kid even begins to peak.
Rodon and Tanganga would leave tooI just really don't see us getting both him and Bremer unless we sell Sanchez.
I mean I’d be more than happy for this, Sanchez has done a job but he is not at the level we require to kick on.I just really don't see us getting both him and Bremer unless we sell Sanchez.
