I see Rob's thread on Fab's little black book has Antony as a RWF.

Which would make our RWF options...

Ant and Deki.

Not sure how I feel about that...

Only way I can imagine us doing this is if it’s a part exchange with Bergwijn. Would still need a CF tho.

Much prefer Raphinha if we were going for this profile of forward.

Think he'd be a big risk. Looks a talent but so did David Neres.

His stats were good but not great considering he's playing in a pretty dominant Ajax team that scored 98 goals.

I imagine the Bergwijn situation is the only thing making this a possibility.

Is he actually any better than bergwijn?

Honest question, not seen much of him, how does his record in Holland compare with Stevie's?

8 goals, 4 assists in 23 games in Dutch league.
left footed right winger, pace to burn, great dribbler.
different to bergwijn, higher pot I think.
quite a small tricky player, very exciting.

Always hard to say how he’d adapt compared to bergwijn but i think he’s slight better than stevie and higher ceiling.

I’d much rather get Raphinha if we are signing a RWF.

This kid looks too lightweight, doesn’t have great numbers and something about him screams flop.

How fast is he though? Could he beat a startled ostrich over an assault course?

Jury's out for me.

I know we shouldn’t judge based on a highlights reel but his raises a couple of red flags.

He’s all left foot which isn’t a bad thing but he predominantly plays on the right. He’s so one footed that he constantly needs to cut inside = one dimensional.

He also looks very light weight. He’s not going to leave an opposition right wing/full back for dead.

He has a very good controlled finish similar to Kulusevski but I don’t see him as a player I look at and think he’ll do well in the EPL.

He looks better on the left hand side but he looks more of a traditional winger than a wide forward. We need the latter. Plus if you look at the likes of Raphinha, he’s got the added physical strength to hold the ball up and stretch the play… if we go down the ‘wide player’ plus a ‘striker’ route then Raphinha has a lot more about him than Antony.

Was coming in to say the same. I think he'd be a massive risk for the money he'd cost. Would rather we avoid.

I think he really isn’t that good. From what I’ve seen he would not do well in the prem
He reminds me a lot of how Raphinha looked at Rennes, similar style of play and physique. Leeds bought him after a season were he only managed 5 goals and I’m fairly sure everyone here would have not been as wild about the prospect of getting him then as they are now. Not that Antony would do as well as Raphinha, but I don’t think it’s a forgone conclusion that he won’t. He’s still only 22 whilst Raphinha is 25, so he still has a lot of time to develop.

Personlly I would really like Paqueta, I think he’d do really well in Conte’s system and is much more versatile in that he can play across the front three and midfield. But if we were to go for Antony then I’m assuming Paratici and Conte thinks he has what it takes to develop. Anyway, as mentioned, I only see it happening if it’s part of the Bergwijn deal.
