That was a much harder chance for Son than it looked - pass not perfect, his weight moving the wrong way, defenders closing, tight angle with keeper advancing. Not a gimme by any means.

I'm wondering why GKN isn't even on the bench sometimes. Although I understand (unfortunately) why Janssen isn't even there.

Winks very impressive again. Full backs were decent. NKoudou/Alli made an impact.

Wasn't very pretty, especially for Janssen but good result and most youngsters played well out there.

Good win, important subs from poch.

Villa did well, brought the bus, 6-3-1 at times with 4 "center backs" in the penalty box...

But I think our quality shined through.

Think it was a really friendly match, quite a few of our old boys in villa management, and enjoyed seeing Hutton still playing well.

Well... Hopefully another good draw for us in the next round.... COYS

Pass was a bit too heavy for him, needed to be able to hit it first time.

wikipedia has Davies and Tripper down as 5'11 and 5'10 respectively but Davies looked like he was about 8 inches taller there?!
