he's not a spurs fan by any stretch of the imagination.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/f...the-chance-to-sign-for-Manchester-United.html

"It was always Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal in terms of where I could be going," he told the Sun.
"I have always supported Arsenal. I did not expect United to come in but they did. Arsenal are a good team but United are one of the best in the world."

Doesn't mean we shouldn't sign him as he's never slated us like James Maddison for example has but let's not pretend he's spurs.

Independent (not always the most reliable) saying Zaha is still expecting to leave this window. Likely to Everton. I wouldn’t be shocked if we moved if other deals didn’t work out.
I don't understand. I don't understand how Everton can afford and execute deals for talent like Kean, Gbamin, Doucoure and Zaha and not us. We spent the second half of last year with Fernando Llorente leading the line and at the moment we have a seventeen year old as his replacement--no matter how much potential the kid has it's just insane to not bring in better attacking depth. We expect to challenge with three forwards (Lamela, Son, Moura) and one striker for a 50 game season??? And really, finishing in the box is not Coco's strong suit...he looked good playing a the top of the diamond in preseason but it's a stretch to even consider him depth for Son and Lucas over a full season.

I think Zaha has the ability, but I think he fails our “no dickheads” policy. I’ve seen plenty of him being a tool on social media, something which as far as I know, our club isn’t a fan of. I don’t think he will fit in.

However, it makes good business sense to express an interest to push up the cost to our rivals (Arse) or potential rivals (Everton). They will have less cash to spend elsewhere if they pay 25% more in fees and wages because we put our interest out there.

I’m not sure it’s that we cant, but Pochettino likes a certain mentality in players he signs. Adebayor had ability but was a bit of a tool. I doubt we want another player like him, or even similar, in attitude terms.

Have faith, the window is still open and we have a great squad already.

I thought his salary expectations would be too rich for us.

I was under the impression that we low balled him on the proposed salary we would pay him and that was what broke the negotiations. We can certainly afford to pay him since we've gotten rid of Vorm, Llorente, Tripps , Janssen and hopefully GKN and wanyama.

Because we're being sold a lie. Deals aren't impossible.

It's criminal that Moise Kean was open to a move, but we're trying to decide between a 35 year old Spanish tree or a child.

Given what Parrott has shown during pre-season, I don't think going for Kean would make sense. If we strengthen the AM position, we can always play Son, Moura or Parrott as backup CF's.

I'd take Parrott over Kean any day of the week.

I didn't bring up Kean to say that I wanted us to be in for Kean. I was noting that Everton have brought in or are in process of bringing in talented and promising players players at reasonable cost in four key areas to overhaul their squad. Arsenal have done the same. And pound for pound, 65million for Zaha and 65 million for Pepe--one is a proven EPL star, clearly the best player outside a top six team, who can offer physical traits that no one else in our squad has and play at every forward position. What a change of pace he could bring from Son/Kane/Lucas to offer something different in different game situations for Poch.

based on what exactly? Not having a dig. Genuinely would like to know. Kean is highly rated, has scored goals at a very high level for a huge club and at international level. Parrot is a kid, who hasn’t once played for the first team.

This guy gets it. We can’t even get sessegnon over the line early. Bit of a joke if you ask me. Champions league finalists, top 4 regulars, best stadium, one of the best coaches in the world, huge profits etc etc.. something doesn’t add up for me.

I remember the summer of 2014 when everyone and their dog was desperate here for us to sign Benteke (23 at the time)...

Interesting. What I remember from the summer of 2014 was rumors that we wanted Antoine Griezmann, who had a release clause of 25 million euros, and levy declining to pay the full release clause amount before Athletico did two months later. Really outstanding bit of business, that.

Moise Kean probably earns at Everton +100k p/w due to Raiola is his agent and he wants to be a starter(impossible here with Son and Kane).

Because we're trying for players that clubs don't want to sell?

That's the difference between being Everton and being Champions League finalists
