Few more signing I feel we could benefit from would be;
Honda, who would slot into a 3 man midfield well,
Soldado, rumoured today that we're gonna make a bid for him. This should be a good signing as although never really gets a chance for Spain he consistently finishes near thr top of the scoring charts in Spain.
Llorente, what's happened regarding his contract? Know at the start of the year he wasn't playing for Bilbao as had fell out or Sumat, and he intended on leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season. (now) anyone know? Will be a good target man in the middle of a front 3.
Dzagoev, a creative player for the midfield who also gets goals
Pogba, heard he is unhappy at juventus and has great potential
Bernard, agree in this guy! Great potential and could be slowly bled into the team. Value hopefully wouldn't be too high ATM but will rise quickly when teams like city start circling. Sign him up before the confeds although that is doubtful.
De Bruyne, unhappy at chelski, and could be tempted to us. Can play anywhere in attack. Also still young and looks a great player
Players not to buy!!
Abidol, been out for few years and never really been a top player IMO. Remember pundits tearing him apart at one of the international tournaments a while back. Could be Gallas all over again!
Cabaye, while I rate him quite highly as a player, he had a poor season (was injured for a while though) last year and as he is coming towards 30 and Newcastle would want big money, I feel it wouldn't be a wise investment.
Son - not convinced on this guy. Not scored a great deal of goals and his club will want big money for him. A lot better strikers out there and available.

Not sure on benteke. Think he's a good player but 25million!? Really!? Dont think hes the type of player to command this fee. Could be proved wrong as he's a good player and will get goals but not sure if he'd get us 30 in all comps. Get him for around 15 and I'd sign him up don't get me wrong.

^ also;
Munain, good attacking player and could prosper in a forward 3. Sure hell soon be in spains first team squad.
Bilbao have a lot of good players in there team IMO many of who could play in a top team.

Diego from Wolfsburg - thoughts?

we haven't been linked with him, but I think he'd be class in the #10 role, and Atletico are supposedly back in for him for around £5m

Next season we need to make a statement of intent and make some big money signings to make the current players and more importantly the rest of the league to see we mean business.

---------------------------------Ade-----------------------------
------------------------------Leandro----------------------------

Villa----------------------------------------------------------Bale
Townsend------------------------------------------------Lennon

--------------------------Cabaye or Thiago--------------------
------------------Pritchard/Bentaleb/Falque/Luongo-----------
-----------------Dembele-------------Sandro-------------------
---------------------Sig----------------Holtby-----------------

Abidal----------Vertonghen----------Kaboul-------------Walker
Rose------------Dawson------------Caulker----------Naughton

-------------------------------Lloris-------------------------------
------------------------------Friedel------------------------------
Possible youngsters to watch:Bentaleb and Pritchard

The front 3 would seriously compliment each other imo, Ade doesnt like going in to the box and Villa would more often be that guy we have been missing in the box.

Incomings
Leandro or Soldado - £12mill-£20mill
Villa - £10million
Thiago - £15million - It would take some convincing but apparently AVB is a very convincing man or Cabaye £8million(I admit I plucked that number from the air) or Baledj(probably hard as signing Thiago)
Abidal - Free

Outgoings
Dempsey, Huddlestone, Gallas(free), Bentley(free), Parker, Dawkins, BAE, Khumulo, Defoe and Gomes

Naughton - depending on how far Smith has progressed, if he needs another year, we should keep him

Loans
Smith - Prem loan
Falque - If we cant play him send him to a top 10 la liga team as they will have him, a couple of seville fans wanted him on twitter
Cebellos - La Liga/Championship and the same for McEvoy, Shaq, Bentaleb and Pritchard unless used

Other considerations
If Dawson goes get a LCB in. Also Abidal has been a LCB recently so he could be our LB/LCB

Look at Diame - £3.5million or Manuel Iturra - free or schneiderlin

Total Gross Spend:Around £40million
Total Sales: £20million-30million
Likely Net Spend: £20million-£10million

If were to have that first 11, I think we would be up there in the title race, especially if Bale continues his form
Lost me at the first paragraph, this thread has realistic in the title

Also forgot to add mcmanaman to my list. Feel it's important to invest in English players and this lad is an old fashioned winger who will try and beat people one and one and make things happen. Can see him in any top side even if only a squad player would be a fantastic addition at a cheap price! Should definetly buy him!
Robben could also be a good buy. Although his greed sometimes winds me up there's no doubt he's a top player who could help us to the next level as a short term option

All the players except Thiago have been linked to us
I agree with what you say and suggest but we won't spend that much money, it's the first paragraph that my post was aimed at. It's what we need to do if we're serious about competing but we won't.

Fair enough but to be fair my total spend was £40million and £10 to £20million net!

Which lets be honest isnt like the first paragraph and is pretty low

I do think we need to sign 3 quality players to go straight in the first team, playmaker, left forward and striker, I just don't think we'll shell out the required money and/or shift enough of the deadwood.

We should try to get Banega in. Better player than Moutinho and will probably be sold for a cheaper price considering valencias financial problems. Would be a great eventual replacement for Modric. Class passing and class under pressure. With his range of passing we could do a lot of damage to opposition teams when in transition. Dembele, sandro, and banega will go toe to toe with any midfield in the land. We have to improve our options in the middle of the park. Evertime we had an injury to one of our starters we were in a crisis. Another player I'd like us to get is Malumba(forgot how to spell it). He's a fench youngster in the second division in frnace. He'll be great as a replacement for sandro when he's out.

Spain forward Roberto Soldado, 28, who has been linked with Tottenham and Liverpool, has confirmed he will stay at Valencia for next season.

Lack of activity on our front is really winding me up now! Sign Bale up and sign some players! Or well end up with no bale and miss out on everyone we want and need!
