We quite often talk about the importance of CL football but I wonder how many peoples favorite games are the City "qualifier", Inter @ home and Milan away?

At the time those games felt huge, in the last few years I have watched numerous highlights and repeats and in my lowest moments I suspect that might be as good as it will ever get for us.

Modric v Liverpool was a special one for me.

As for older goals, Gazza v Arsenal, Hoddle v Watford, Ginola v Barnsley were all amazing goals.

But the one that stands out the most for me is Klinsmann v Sheffield W (where Sheringham scored a pretty nice first goal, outside of the boot into the bottom right corner).

Stalteri's goal against the spammers will always be a favourite for me..to win at the end like that was awesome!

The Edman was really was a ridiculous goal, that defied the laws of physics and everything, love that, but it has to be the Frenchman for me, 99 FA Cup against Barnsley

forgot this one against Leeds too, same competition

and just for good measure, his 2nd & 3rd are pretty cool too - good times :)

All of the above but I love a 30+ yarder so kanoute v Everton and edman v Liverpool also spring to mind.
ginola v Barnsley?
on an individual basis though we've scored some absolute crackers even during the 'lesser' years....christ, Stevie carr v manure in a force nine at the lane is another one....

Kanoute vs everton is the first goal that sprang to my mind too. Fantastic strike

think it depends where i was watching it and who was with. for example, the edman goal was a load of us in the pub and he screamed it in. we all went mad.
i was at the game where lennon put us 2-1 up against the chavs (when we hadnt beaten them for ages) and the place went mental.
roses goal against scum i watch on my own in the flat (insert forever alone meme) so as good as it was had no one to jump up and down with,

but i think my favourite will have to be woodys goal in the cup final, simply because of the 25+ man bundle that ensued after and coupled with the 2k+ bar tab 30 of us managed to run up that day/evening.

1) Rose Vs Arse - pure fuck it im going to hit this. Was sat right behind this in the east stand at the game nearly ended up going over the upper stand and my mate who had never been to a game before just getting man handled (in a good way) by two massive rasta chaps. brilliant
2) Crouch Vs City - never have i let out such a primeval yelp as I did when that when in. woke up my kids and pobably most the kids in my road too.
3) Lennon vs Arse - to get it back to 4-4 when we were dead and buried. And watching it at my staunch Arse mates house
4) Kaboul vs Arse - just coz we beat them in their own back yard
5) Lennon Vs Chavs - This meant alot. Voodoo? what Voodoo?
6) most goals Hoddle scored - just my footballing Legend.
7) Gazza - nuff said.
8) Woodgate Vs Chelsea
9) Jenas Vs Arse - love a late late equaliser.
10) Bale Vs Inter - pick any of them

For number 3, imagine Modric's shot that hit the post before Lennon scored the rebound went in. What an equaliser that would have been.
I agree. but love the moment you think bollocks that didnt go in. followed by mass hysteria when lt went in.

Rose probably in terms of being in its own right a great goal and so important.

Purely more recent favourites I'd have to say (in no particular order):

1) Bale vs Swansea - took it so early and what a strike, can watch it again and again.
2) Berbs vs Spammers - so nonchalantly levels us at 3-3. I screamed almost as much as at Stalteri's goal when this went in.
3) Keane (yes, Keane, the only one picking a Keane goal :D) vs Blackburn (first goal 2006) - I just love that goal! Completely skins Savage and Todd before burying it past big Brad.

Last season......Bale - upton park

Last 5 years....Crouch - away MC to get CL

All time fav goal.........Crooks equaliser at Wembley....i was young, at my first final as i couldn't get tickets for the first game. i was disdrought and in tears as we were losing with 20mins to go...and when Crooks scored ...i went berserk and knew we would go onto to win the Cup...it was the best feeling ever, i was standing behind the goal quite high up the stand, and ended up near the pitch, i still don't know how, and i didn't care.

I remember that goal, IIRC didn't Pat Van Den Hauwe put in a ridiculous cross for Lineker to tap in ??

It's a long time ago but didn't we have about 26 passes in the build up or something daft?? I think David Tuttle also scored in that game.
