Just watched those two crap matches from Grand Slam Sunday and boy am I glad of the players we have!

Stevie Gerrard - did'nt even know he was on the pitch absolutely useless and he is the captain, disgrace!
Reina - worst goalkeeper in the league, how many mistakes did he make in that game, joke!
Rooney - could'nt score on a jotter, how many 1 on 1's does this guy need to score a goal!
Anderson - that has got to be one of the worst midfield performances I have ever seen.£17 million your havin a laugh!
Van Persie - What was he doing on the pitch, useless always injured get rid!
William Gallas-bring back Senderos, anyone is better than this clown.
Lampard- how does he get into the England team after a performance like that, the man did nothing right!
Kalou - he has'nt a fuckin clue!

As we all know here on Spurscommunity, you are only as good as your last game and all these guys were rubbish at the weekend!
Just remember it is not just our players who have off days!

Oh my god! I have seen some stupid posts on here but this one takes the ****!

Gerrard,Rooney, Van Persie , Gallas all QUALITY QUALITY players. I reckon they would all get in our team and for those who say they would nt take of ya rose tinted specs!!!

You are 'glad of the players we have' are you over those are you? Fool

You missed the point. I'm sure he rates most of those players, BUT he's judging them on their past game because that's what we seem to do around here.

Wed - "Hudd is shit, immobile, never good enough"
Sat - "Hudd is the future, see that ball for Berbie? what a goal too, build a midfield around him"

Wed - "Jenas is shit, anonymous, will never run a midfield"
Sat - "Couple of great goals by Jenas, he's our best midfielder, covered every blade"

etc...etc...

Aha... The thread was based on Sarcasm then! Then in that case it went over my head and was good read (No I am not being sarcastic).

Sorry, Paul, but I think you need to blow the Bank Holiday Weekend cobwebs out of the ol' noggin. You're the first fishy to bite on this one, it's very much written in a sarcastic tongue - how could it be any other way?

I watched the Chelsea game - and the first half was huff and puff- misplaced passes - high energy nonsense - and yet at half time Sky - 'bringing big 4 propaganda into a living room near you' described it as 'enthralling' what!!!!!!!!!!!!!

spurs played far better in the first half v pompey than either of those two teams and yet they could barely be bothered to praise us- Sky really are beyond parody at times

incidentally the second half of the Chelsea game was good, a proper football match - which makes their ludicrous overblown praise of the first half even more laughable - that was dull and uninspired - certainly by spurs standards

Thanks to Stoof and Kendall for pointing out the sarcasm in my original post!
The thing is everytime the likes of Zokora,Jenas,Robbo,Hudd and Dawson have a good game the people that really like them come out in force praising their performances and their detractors stay silent, the opposite occurs if they play poorly in the very next game. Its just like a crazy roundabout!
I know that this is what forums are all about but in reality we only end up argueing with the same people every week about the same players!
Perhaps it would be a good idea to include the players we rate/don't rate as part of our user profile, then everyone will know exactly were we stand every single week and not just when they play badly!

Sky really do buy into the BIG 4 and shove it down our throats, especially with their preposterous 'GRAND SLAM SUNDAY'.Do any other fans count, silly twats missed the game of the season between Spurs and Chelsea!
I wonder what they are going to do after next season when we are in the top 4,will they continue with the WWE type hype or will it be a much quieter affair?

As you will see from my previous posts that I also misread your sarcasm.

I like the idea about us including our favourite players in our profile, that would def go along way in seeing where we all stand with regards to results and perfomances etc. :hump:

Perhaps opinions of smarter posters should have precedence so stupid people can be better filtered out? Perhaps we should get a quota of replies per week linked to our rep scores?

All forum posters are equal. But some are more equal than others

Some of the replies to this have been laughable, good point made though, we do need to stop having knee-jerk reactions to performances in one game.

who knows Stemark, but Sky really do make fools of themselves at times - in no way are they neutral-

I mean I find every Spurs game entralling, because I live and breathe Spurs, but I'm not so mad as to think that for example every other fan would have found say the spurs pompey game enthralling - but from any reasonable neutral perspective our first half was better than the untidy fare pesented at the Bridge - but because Sky are big 4 'fans and cheerleaders' they find it enthralling
