Just watched those two crap matches from Grand Slam Sunday and boy am I glad of the players we have!

Stevie Gerrard - did'nt even know he was on the pitch absolutely useless and he is the captain, disgrace!
Reina - worst goalkeeper in the league, how many mistakes did he make in that game, joke!
Rooney - could'nt score on a jotter, how many 1 on 1's does this guy need to score a goal!
Anderson - that has got to be one of the worst midfield performances I have ever seen.£17 million your havin a laugh!
Van Persie - What was he doing on the pitch, useless always injured get rid!
William Gallas-bring back Senderos, anyone is better than this clown.
Lampard- how does he get into the England team after a performance like that, the man did nothing right!
Kalou - he has'nt a fuckin clue!

As we all know here on Spurscommunity, you are only as good as your last game and all these guys were rubbish at the weekend!
Just remember it is not just our players who have off days!

LOL @ Toure for Chelsea's 2nd. And apart from Kalou I would have very single one of those players in a spurs shirt asap.

You two guys probably would take all those players but you would also be the first to slate them every other week so in the end what difference would they make!

So you'd rather have our midfield than have Gerrard, Anderson or Lampard in our squad? Hmmmm.

You are judging them on one game I see. I wonder then, how come their respective teams currently occupy the 1st four positions in the league?

Its the same logic that would probably suggest that Barnsley is a better cup team than Chelsea, after all they beat them in the cup the last time they played.

I personally would have all those players mentioned, playing for Spurs.

A bit of rethink needed IMO.

I'm not sure the new facilities for the blind SC'ers are working
Nope, my voice-coder just translated the following:

"I believe in one day Ramos, he is the best autobus in the league and we will win much more than the cup of cheap fizzy beer.

And sloth's great! But Dougal isn't as good!"

I knew I didn't trust those final 2 dots

I disagree with two of your points:

Rooney - Wasn't exceptional, but put in the cross for the first goal and was involved in the 3rd, with Rooney even if he's not on the goals he brings a lot to United, as you can see by the fact that every game they've lost this year - he wasn't playing.

Anderson - Put in a decent 'breaking up play' performance and threaded some beautiful passes around, so although he skied a couple of efforts on goal, I felt he did enough as a midfielder.

You missed the point. I'm sure he rates most of those players, BUT he's judging them on their past game because that's what we seem to do around here.

Wed - "Hudd is shit, immobile, never good enough"
Sat - "Hudd is the future, see that ball for Berbie? what a goal too, build a midfield around him"

Wed - "Jenas is shit, anonymous, will never run a midfield"
Sat - "Couple of great goals by Jenas, he's our best midfielder, covered every blade"

etc...etc...

Exactly. It's a comment on us [and most football forums come to that - if not all] and our tendency to over-analyse, especially daily posters who have no choice but to go over and over performances making players' 'good' performances seem great, and players' 'average' performances seem shite.

And a nice dig at the one-game judges that we all are too.

I could be wrong on this, but I really don't think it's the same people saying it both ways. I've always been confounded by this 'fickle' tag for the forum. Surely it's just that, to use the Hudd as an example, he has his fans and his detractors. So when he has a good game, all his fans shout about him, while the detractors shut up. When he has a bad game, out come the detractors, and the fans are less audible. So while the forum appears fickle, it's actually different people doing the talking.

I'm not a one game judge.

Sorry, I should re-edit my post to say ...

And a nice dig at the one-game judges we all are too, except sloth, who is not a one-game judge and might take offence to being lumped in to an obvious generalisation that isn't applicable to everyone.

You're totally right, it's the ebb and flow of blocks holding differing opinions, unsurprisingly one group goes quiet when the guy they've been slagging has a good game, whilst the other group come out of the wood-work to gloat over how right they were.

In general, for future reference, the best method is just to listen to me. If I say, for example, that Zokora is a very good player, you can be pretty certain that this is because he is (unless I'm trying to trick someone) and so there's no need to argue about it any more. Or if I say that Robbo's not the answer as our keeper then almost 100% it's because he isn't.

I just feel if people bore in mind what I said more we'd have less arguments and be a lot happier. Not to mention we'd all be more right too

 Spoken like any articulate dictator. It's true democracy and free speech can be a convoluted path to an answer.

Perhaps opinions of smarter posters should have precedence so stupid people can be better filtered out? Perhaps we should get a quota of replies per week linked to our rep scores?
