As we have just signed Crouch, does this mean our interest in Huntelaar is now dead?

Or..

Will we try to sell Pav and get in Huntelaar which would make us have one of the most awesome strikeforces in the league!?

I hope so. Pav is class. His positioning in the box (by the D) makes up for us not having late runners into the box and give Lennon an easier target than a full cross

Of course I would rather have Huntelaar, he's world class or there about and on his day is on of the best strikers in the world and his goal statistics prove that.

That is not to say, however, that I don't rate Pavlyuchenko. Pavlyuchenko is technically pretty good and has a lot a guile about his play. Now he has had a season to adapt to the Premier League and full pre-season so I think we should expect some of the form he showed in the Carling Cup and on a more consistent basis.

Come on Roman!

I don't mean a swap literally..

I mean we buy Huntelaar and then sell off Pav, or other way round.

^ I'm astounded no-one has signed him yet. We have to take advantage of this situation now.

I honestly dont believe this thread and even moreso I cant believe the results of the pollEekEek

What in the name of God does Pav have that would recommend him ahead of KJH?

Their a complete different class of player, like asking would you prefer Zidane or Freund.

I think we need to face up to the facts that Pav is to soft for the Premier League.. It's time to try and move this guy on & retrieve as much as we layed out on him. I feel for the guy but things haven't exactly worked out for him & in all honesty I don't see him improving much either.

Huntelaar would be an absolute dream.. One of the most clinical finishers in Europe who has been treated like dirt by Real Madrid. Quite frankly Real Madrid should be embrassed by their behaviour.

Couldnt agree more. I saw the thread and thought "Oh dear, there's always one person who rates crap players like its a wind up"

Then i saw the poll result, then i saw the comments. What have you lot seen that makes you think that Pav can be anywhere near as good as KJH? He's slow, gets pushed off the ball, flies into stupid tackles, cannot pass, cannot play with any of our strikers and he has an attitude. The only reason it's Bent leaving and not Pav is that we've managed to mug Sunderland into compensating the 16m we paid for him, whereas if we sell Pav, assuming there are any buyers, we wouldnt get more than 5-6m.

And that's another thing. People here will say Pav showed glmpses of what he can do last year. So what your saying is we paid 14m on a few "glimpses"? Its ridiculous that people can say he's not a bad player, trully mad

I'm unsure about KJH being suited to the Prem, but I'd easily swap him for Pav. I wouldn't even think twice about it.

Agree . Roman is still a Spurs player so we should show him support until that is not the case .

So called fans have rounded Darren Bent , the guy who scored the important away goals to keep us in the league , Harry Redknapp who has done a brilliant job so far , Robbie Keane who was unwanted by Ramos but had the guts to come back .

They've even made Crouch unwelcome before he starts !

It's absolutely incredible , why would anyone in their right mind want to play for supporters who always think the grass is greener ?

Not until he's proved himself in a much better league than the Eredivisie, he isn't. And although his scoring record in Spain looks quite impressive, there were criticisms that he only showed against the weaker teams. How many times have you actually seen him play?

That said, I'd take him over Pav without a second's thought.
