Well, we have been very critical of Comolli with his signings in the summer. Now we have signed Woodgate, a reputable good defender and injury prone player.
Was this Comolli's doing or is he one of Ramos target?
Does anyone think that £8million is too much, much like the £16 paid for Bent?
Ramos has stated that he has refused 6-8 players mentioned by the board (Comolli and Levy), was Woodgate a last option before closure of the transfer market?

At the end of the day does it matter whose signing it was?

Yes, cause we are seem to really criticise Comolli. If it is him and if it turns out to be good , at least we should give him some credit!
Was he also the one who brought Berba?

Oops. The Sun online are reporting he's crocked already. Out for a fortnight.

The recruitment policy is a joint policy to include Levy, Comolli and the present Manager.

It minimises mistakes made and ensures continuity in the event one of those members moves on.

I suppose Ramos would be aware of him when he played in Spain for Madrid. He should also be aware that he played about 10 games for them in 3 years! I read this morning that King can realistically only play one in 3 games now for the rest of his career. Replacing one crocked player with another crock aint good business. Comolli's signing of Bent still fills me with despair!!!!

what about Comolli's signing of Bale, Gunter and Berbatov?

Bale was a well know player when we became inked with him, Berbatov has been mixed reports between Jol and Comolli.
As for price Levy has final say on that.

As far I'm concerned the signings are jointly done between the three and I reckon the names such as Ekotto, Kaboul, Taarabt & Zokora were put forward by Comolli & Jol didn't challenge them enough. If he really didn't want them, they wouldn't have been signed.

Not really the point, is it? people bang on about Bent, but most expected Defoe and Mido to leave, and therefore he was the perfect replacement. They bang on about his 'shit' signings (a 22 year old LB, who's hardly had a chance to bed-in and a 21 year old CB who's been thrown into the mix of one of the toughest leagues in the world) but don't seem to give him credit for landing Berbatov for £10m (now worth £25m+), Bale (who could''ve had his head turned by United), Gunter and Malbranque (who quite frankly were steals)

Ramos would have been very aware of Woodgate from his time in Spain, the good and the bad. When Woodgate was available Real were a much tighter ship. It's very good signing if the medical is correct and he is fit to play Premiership football. As for King as long as he's able to play the big games then he is still a huge asset, but it is worrying that he could not make it to the ManU match 5 days after the arsenil match. Pity we missed out on another chance to stuff arsenil at the Lane. Hopefully ManU finish them off. Remember if it wasn't for Ferguson then Wenger would have won a hell of a lot more trophies for the scum.

I thought he was injured tbh, SS says he maybe able to make the Everton Game, Sun says hes crocked

As for the point of this Thread, i thought Ramos said it was a 3 way thing, him/Levy and Commoli now?

Simple really. 6 months from now if Woodgate has been a roaring success then he is Ramos' signing. If he has hardly kicked a ball due to injuries, then it is Comolli's stupid, misinformed signing. That will be the case on this board anyway...

Where did you read this morning King can only play 1 in 3 games?
