Tielemans would be an incredible signing. It's crazy that Poch didn't fancy him the summer he went to Leicester
Def take tielemans really good player would suit us perfectly.
Tielemans would make a good partner for Skipp.
This is a hill I'm willing to die on, and I'm glad others share my affection for Tielamens. In Contes system, next to a solid DLP, like Skipp, Tielamens would be exceptionally potent. Bombing forward with power and pace, breaking lines with his dribbling and tenacity in the press. Goal threat.

Would be close to my top CM realistic target, especially if Leicester finish bottom half.

I know we likely won’t, but it would be great if we could have tied up some deals for day one of the window. The sooner we bring in whoever we bring in the better.

Yep would be exactly what our midfield needs. I think he will go to a bigger club unfortunately but I hope we will try for him.

He is exactly what we need but yeah he will have his pick of clubs around Europe sadly.

I think we're a much bigger club than we realise, with only our recent poor form holding us back.

We have our famous city, stadium, training ground and a world class coach, but it's the naturally generated revenue which is massive.

And that's without a full season at WHL, no naming rights deal and no Champions League.

We get those things in place and we'll be in the Top 5 or 6 richest clubs in the world.

We can offer pretty much everything a 'bigger' club can, except the prestige of a Barcelona or Real Madrid.

So we should definitely be in the conversation for every player that we might want to sign.

I agree with everything you are saying, yet the key word is if we can get those things in place.

Let's not forget a club like Everton, who are pretty big historically, proud fan base etc have spent half a billion recently and look like dog shit. Let's hope we can make better recruiting decisions and take that next step.

Absolutely
Whilst we might be a little lower than we’ve come accustomed to recently, and we may be a plan b option for some of the top players we should still be in the discussion.

Of course, if we are looking at a player who is say in the good/could be world class category we are definitely a great chance at getting them. Just tricky getting those world class players, or players who could go to the handful of teams who are clearly the next rung up from us.

Agree, although that group is shrinking
For example both juventus and Barcelona are struggling.
Psg are stacked in every position - you could argue the same about city (maybe a CF, CDM or LB) so not really an option

So it’s really only the other big PL teams we compete against and our squad has the most gaping holes in it.
Would players go to United or Arsenal over us?
Granted signing mbappe or haaland is unlikely.
Either way, we’ll have a much clearer understanding by January 31st

Well, there's still clubs like Athletico (won the title) Bayern and Dortmund, AC Milan and Inter still have some allure, but yes I agree with your sentiment .

I would hope we keep Davies for next season despite the fact we need to add another LCB

me too, never thought i'd say that a few months back, but he's taken to conte's system so well, and dare i say it along side dier probably our most improved player & one of the first names on the team sheet.

Agree Arrons would be a great choice, but i expect he won't be cheap
Alternatively you could look at Ajax' Mazraoui who's got a contract until 2022. He has been pretty good for them in the Champions League as well. I think the right wing-back role suits him very well.

I'd prefer a more offensive RWB tbh. He's one of the 5 attackers in Conte's system, he needs to provide a threat. Rather convert a winger with a good engine than trying to make a fullback better in attack. Way easier trying to learn to defend to a minimum than attack.
