Maybe people rate Zaha more than you? He'd have been on my attacker shortlist before the window even opened (with Martial and Pulisic).
He's a decent forward but imo no better than what we already have. Moura got few enough games as it was, and I rate him more.

Really want to see CM addressed. That's where I'd like to see a statement signing.

Well it's not like Poch hasn't wanted him for a couple of years now either

I do get the impression we're still hopeful on Martial and until we're sure it wont happen will move in for Zaha instead.

Here's the piece from July with quotes from Hodgson. Read like they were proper skint and waiting for the loan market to open. Does not suggest they would be going on a spree.

Meyer is a free but his wages are inflated and I bet the signing on bonus is at least £5m. Ayew and Kouyate are likely to be £10m each, plus they still have links to Ings and Antonio amongst others.

Someone in the ITK thread (@wishkah, I think), mentioned that Parish wanted a player back (loan) in return, and wanted to do something with the loan and Zaha's sale for their books. I asked about it (I couldn't wrap my head around it) but all of the posts were deleted in the great deletion of 2018.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the accepted bids are from Dortmund and ourselves. The lower price tags floating around (£40m ish) makes sense to be from a club abroad

I don't know how, but you're not reading his tweet correctly. He previously thought 2 bids (us and Chelsea) had been accepted, but it turns out only one bid was made - and that bid was rejected and wasn't us.

Reports suggest that bid was the £30m + Drinkwater from Chelsea

Interesting fact ... Agent of Zaha also represents 2 players that are strongly linked with a move to Palace in Antonio and Kouyate

And same agent as one of our own Kane

Just having a look at that agency’s list of clients.. Kane’s by far the biggest. Bar that Antonio Kouyate, J Ayew, Zaha are all pretty high up.. 3 moves for 10-15m to allow a Zaha big money move would be a very nice summer for them. Townsend and Schlupp also part of the firm so assuming they have a good relationship with Palace... clutching I know ha

Zaha is different then what we have? May I introduce you to Heung Min-Son and Lucas Moura.

How? He can play up front? So can Son. He's quick and tricky and can beat a man? So can Moura and Son. Is often lacking in end product, even when everything in his team goes through him? Runs into blind alleys often?

Does anyone have Poch/Levy’s number?? Just so we can let them know not to sign Zaha because Johnny J on Spurs community thinks he’s shit

Quite amusing that some Palace fans are slagging off Spurs for supposedly making a 45 million pound bid, whilst at the same time calling the Sun a 'rag' and casting doubt on the accuracy of the story. Which is it?

Not really. It's what happens when you have many people giving opinions.

He's quicker, stronger, and trickier than Son. He's stronger and more of a threat (at least as proven thus far) than Moura. So yes. I'd say he's different than anything we have.

Doesn't mean he is better than either of them, in a vacuum, but he offers something we don't have enough of. When Son is starting, who on the current roster do you bring off the bench when you need a goal? I'm more comfortable with Zaha coming on for that than Moura.

Pretty sure everytime he has played against us has caused us a lot of problems..... even when we had the pace of walker

Not sure how many times I need to post the literal stats proving that Zaha is vastly superior specifically at take ons than Son and Moura and also he played uptop for palace towards end of season. I think people will reject Zaha no matter what evidence is put infront of them and will just have to wait if he plays for us to realise what he's capable of.

Pretty sure Grey Fox said that we should here something on Zaha by Wednesday if it is going to happen. So.....

Said thursday at a push..... maybe it could get done but both teams drag it out so they have time to get players in before the rate goes up on the players they are looking at

I think he’d be a fantastic signing. The pessimist in me says the chances are slim but stranger things have happened, and palace’s moves in the window may suggest this is actually coming to a head...

Also, not sure if it was GF, but was mentioned that it may not be officially announced Wednesday/Thursday, just that all should be set by then to give Palace time to get players in. The fact that Palace is currently bringing players in leads me to believe he's on his way here.

Would make sense ..... have it all agreed, look at the contract announcements we have signed players up and still waiting on those to be announced

Zaha is different from those two Son and Moura are both quick but aren't particularly powerful. Zaha is a powerful runner to go with his pace far harder to play against as its harder to knock him out of his stride etc.. Think Bale kind of pace not the same ability as Bale but good enough. Moura or Son would beat Zaha in a race over a short distance but over 40 yards with the ball and a defender to beat Zaha would be harder to stop.
