Defoe without a shadow of doubt, i hate it when they get compared as Owen is so shit...Owen at 18 was good but that is to far in the past, when was the last time he looked good?? Defoe is in the form of his life and i believe he can do better then Owen did.

At the moment Defoe without a doubt.

But Owen in his pomp was far superior IMHO - his range of finishing was some of the best I've seen and the consistency he did it in high profile matches was excellent.

The article is just wrong to say Defoe has a better range of finishing.

Nothing against Defoe as he really has improved, it's said more in my admiration for what a great striker Owen wa,s and it's such a shame he couldn't have stayed injury free as he'd still be England's top striker alongside Rooney if not for this.

Also, I can't believe Defoe is winning this poll, especially looking at the excellent stats provided by Green Valley on the first pageo.

Come on people, take the Spurs-tinted glasses off...

To say JD is anywhere near as good as Owen at the height of his game suggests a lot off people are either wearing super-strength Spurs tints or are too young to remember Owen at his electrifying best.

And Owen's still arguably the more clinical finisher inside the box, the problem being that he really does seem to have to have the ball laid on a plate for him these days.
