We don't need a send off because we're not going anywhere. We're mainly upgrading a bunch of stands from the 80's and 90's.
Ok, in fairness, the east stand is old and historic. but the stadium has been razed and reborn dozens of times, and I'm not looking on this time as anything more than the most comprehensive remodelling in a long line.
This is just IMO. I know many feel differently and I completely respect that. I do hold this opinion pretty strongly though.
I agree with you
I've been going to WHL most weeks apart from the cricket season since about 1974 and remember most of A&C's great highlights etc etc
For me with the ground moving 100 yards means it's just a huge makeover. It'll still be exactly the same journey from home or work and the same walk from the tube/car/pub
Maybe I'm just a killjoy or I don't like a lot of fuss but I'm not worried if the old WHL doesn't get an amazing send off
I'd prefer it if the new WHL gets top billing. That will after all be our new home and where The Spurs will move forward into a new exciting dawn
