Which players do you want and who will we get?

I'm disturbed that we want Parker. If he puts a run of games together then I could see my favourite player Sandro getting pissed off. It wouldn't be a problem if Harry new how to rotate but once he has a winning team he won't and we could lose a potentially world class player in Sandro.

It's not even a question of rotation, Sandro, within reason, must play every game when fit. We don't rotate Modric, why rotate Sandro?

I think Parker will probably go for around £6/7m.

Only worth it if Harry wants to play 3 in the middle next year: Sandro/Parker/Modric
Or if harry wants to go 4-2-3-1: sandro/parker...Modric/Bale/VdV. Otherwise it would be a definite mistake, as we won't be happy on the bench, and it dropping Sandro for Parker would be remarkably short sighted.

I very much doubt Parker coming in would be to the detriment of Sandro especially if we're serious about switching to a 4231/433/451 style formation.

I doubt we'll switch from the 4-4-1-1 formation we've played this season. Bale is always gonna play on the left if fit so that means modric in the middle with one other out of sandro/hudd/parker. Its all good having a squad full of talent if you rotate but we all know harry doesn't do this hence alot of players being injured or burnt out come the end of this season. Not to mention Bassong and Kranjcar getting pissed off.

Even if its still 4-4-1-1....Modric could be left, Bale at LB, and Parker/Sandro in the middle...for some some games anyway.

It wont be to the detriment of Sandro, quite sure about that.

He'll replace Palacios or Jenas in terms of the squad anyway. Hope its the latter but I suspect it will be the former.

Definitely not Jenas, he will be here forever

Harry only played Bale lb when Benny got injured. Assuming Bale, Benny and Modric are fit for the majority of the season then either one of Sandro or Hudd are gonna be pissed off. the point is Harry doesn't rotate. He likes keeping a winning team. It's not like at Man Utd where Fergie will sometimes leave players out of the squad altogether just to give them arrest. thats just not the way Harry manages the squad hence players like Bassong and Kranjcar wanting to leave.

Would be nice to see a 4-2-3-1.

Currently

-------------Gomes-----------
Hutton----King----Dawson------Benny A&E
---------Sandro---Modric---------------
--Lennon------VDV--------Bale
-------------Crouch-----------------

Strangly I think that looks and feels so much better then the 4-4-1-1 we have been playing although nothing really changes.

-------------Gomes------------
Hutton----King-----Dawson-------Benny A&E
Lennon--Sandro-----Modric--------Bale
---------------VDV-----------
--------------Crouch

I think in general with the players we have we need to play the 4-2-3-1 as we have good box to box players in Modric/Huddles and Sandro and then the attacking threat of Bale, Lennon and VDV should be immense.

Add a few players that alot of people have posted they want:

---------------Stekelenburg
Hutton-----King-------Dawson--------N'Zogbia
-----------Sandro-----Modric------------
--Marin----------VDV------------Bale
----------------Falcao

On the bench
Lennon
Crouch
Parker
Huddlestone
Gallas
Benny A&E
Gomes

So far (with more than 5 votes) it seems people want:

Marko Marin 19
Falcao 18
Emmanuel Adebayor 11
Hulk 10
Lukaku 9
Rossi 9
Parker 8

but think we will get:

Parker 17
Carlton Cole 9
Upson 9
Osvaldo 6

I'd be happy with Parker if we could get a couple from the first list rather than Cole, Upson and Osvaldo.

They don't want to leave their clubs though.

So they have said but could it just be what nearly every player says so that they can keep the fans, team mates and club happy. I can hope so anyway.
I think in Marin's case we would be a good move rather then sticking around at Werder anyway unless he is doing what it appears most young players of his talent are doing and that is waiting for Real and Barca.

In Falcao's case he's at Porto who are playing the best football in the club's history. On the downside all they can really do now is to do as Mourinho done and win the Champions League. Can't see it happening though.

For both I wouldn't say they are unrealistic targets anyway. A players word doesn't mean alot anymore sadly.
