As long as we beat Burnley we will get top 4. I’m sure of it. Arsenal are going to collapse and lose to Newcastle

I think if we win on Sunday we will get 4th. Newcastle away is very tough for Arsenal considering the circumstances.

Not getting excited about 4th just yet. If we beat Burnley, then I’ll start thinking about Newcastle on Monday night.

We need to do our part, and we need them to slip up.

I'm actually taking top 4 as a bonus, I'm relaxed about it.

Don't see Arsenal going on to success with Arteta, regardless of CL qualification.

Whereas, if Conte is backed, then the sky is the limit.

Just glad that we hammered them tonight and avoided any potential bragging about how they got CL qualification at our stadium.

I also think it was incredibly important to win this game for future NLD derbies. We have now set a tone and environment that means they know how tough it is in future and should have trepidation about it.

When Nuno was sacked we were going to midtable. Now we have a pattern of play, players improving and we have now sealed 5th spot.

I view 4th as a bonus. Yes, it will be gutting to see Arsenal pip us. At the very least, its a improvement to finish 5th.

Having said that, I fully expect us to beat Burnley & Norwich. As for as Arsenal - I certainly see them dropping points at Newcastle on a monday night game

If Liverpool win CL, is 5th not a CL place?
Nope. If a side "double-qualifies" by finishing in the CL places and winning the tournament, the place goes to the champion of the best ranked league that doesn't have an automatic place already - Shakhtar Donetsk on this occasion.

I fear that the Newcastle players will be on the beach already, as they are safe from relegation.
Nah, every single one of those players are playing for their future in the team considering the financial position the club is now in. They’ll all want to prove they deserve to be a part of it

Win our last two and I think we carry plenty of momentum into the summer irrespective of what Arsenal do. If anything being pipped in that way might even give everyone at the club even more motivation to push on next season.

Tonight was massive for so many more reasons than the final table position as you said. It's something to build on and aspire to.

Newcastle fans really seem up for Monday night so hopefully Arsenal get rattled again and slip up. We just have to do our job and what will be will be.

It's really difficult to know how Monday will go. I coudl forsee Newcastle not turning up and Arsenal winning, but I could also forsee Arsenal really bottling it against a vibrant Newcastle team under the lights last game of the season playing with freedom.

Newcastle will take it to Arsenal, and you can see when you attack Arsenal they can't handle it. They also have a half fit White, Gabriel injured and Holding suspended.

Newcastle will want to bounce back from the City drubbing too.

The good news for us is that an Arsenal draw is fantastic, it's not like we need them to lose.

If they win their remaining two, fair play to them they did enough, but I think there is a twist to come.

I just looked back through Newcastle's games before they got beat by Liverpool and City, they beat Wolves, Leicester, palace at home and then crushed Norwich 3 nil away. That game on Monday is going to be a tough one for Arsenal, Newcastle will want a win after the last two defeats.

I honestly don't think the Geordie faithful would let their team just "not turn up" on Monday. Despite the recent takeover they are still one of the most dedicated fanbases in the World.

Night time game, last game of the season, nothing to lose, the atmosphere will be absolutely electric. That will bleed from the fans and on to the pitch and the players will be pumped full of adrenaline. I think the only thing that could fuck it up is if a Newcastle player gets a rush of blood and gives away a penalty/gets sent off.

Also I'm loving the fact that we play before them, if we can beat Burnley the pressure for them knowing we are two points ahead of them will be a massive element too.

I fear that the Newcastle players will be on the beach already, as they are safe from relegation.

They have a lot to play for;
1. Every PL place is worth £3m which they will be made fully aware at this point could be a £10m swing for them, plus still chance of top half finish.
2. They’re on a dawn of a new era and probably half or more of this squad are playing to be part of that.
3. Monday night under the lights last home game with an amazing vibe round the club it will be rocking. Bar playing away at top 6 it’s probably currently worst next fixture.

I had a feeling this was always going to be the pivotal fixture and that looks the case.

Arsenal fans will be shitting themselves now. Does there team have the fight and quality to go to a fresh newcastle side and get a win. I don't think they do. Helps that callum wilson is also back.
