Pochettino got fired because of a lack of creativity in attack this season.
No he didn't. He was fired because we threw away too many games from winning positions. If he we saw games out, we'd still be 4th.

The first half against Bayern, Palace, Red Star, we all played brilliant football.

Eriksen wasn't seen kicking a ball in those training videos but was out there somewhere. On the bench today. It looks like Jose is going to take control of this situation and make it clear that Eriksen doesn't need to be in his plans at all if he isn't willing to commit to a new contract. Could be very interesting because while Eriksen is holding all the cards with the threat to run down his contract, his potential pool of suitors could reduce drastically if he spends the next few months on the bench. And they weren't exactly falling over themselves in the summer, so Christian has some thinking to do.

I think I speak for a lot of us here when I say -

Fuck Eriksen

Is Ndombele injured or suspended?

Lost track with all the madness over the last few days lol.

Odd no Sessegnon in squad.

Let's be honest. If Poch picked this team we wouldn't be happy
I would. We have a recognised dm in Dier. Even at his worst he's still more of a presence than Winks and Sissoko who just get steamrollered. Rose is on the bench as he's been so poor which is correct decision imo. Eriksen nowhere to be seen also as it should be. Who would you play out of curiosity?
We should remember he's only been here 5 mins so todays 11 isnt the shape of things to come for rest of the season.
Jesus Christ I'm sticking up for that twat Maureen! Its like some weird parallel universe. I feel dirty.

Whether the individuals are liked or not it’s very clear to me that you can see players are being picked for specific roles - which is something we have lacked.
As much as I admire Sissoko I am pleased to see him dropped - this will be unpopular but I just don’t think he’s good enough. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that (forgetting the results) our play also went backwards when Sissoko became a starter in centre mid

I’m pleased with it. Jose has recognised that Sissoko is technically not good enough and shouldn’t be starting every single game. He also has gone for an exciting 4 attacking line up. No way would Poch start all of Ali, Lucas, Kane and Son.

Don’t know if it matters but no I don’t think that’s true. For SC in general, no diamond, no Eriksen. For me personally, Dier and Lucas are there.
I’d be fairly happy.

Pretty obvious game plan, and not unexpected. Back 4 that sticks to defence, Dier to cover and drop in when needed, Winks next to him as extra cover and to move the ball quickly, two wide men who can both run with the ball, either cutting in or getting down the flanks, feeding Kane in the box, with Dele in the role he's best at, playing off Kane and being a goal threat.

I expect the defence to be much tighter, and I really like that front 4: if they're all on their game and they get plenty of the ball, I think we'll win.

Think not seeing lo Celso start has clouded my judgement. I would now like to reverse my initial opinion. Just hope Dier can pass to his team mates today
