What an excellent second half that was with both teams going forward at every opportunity, chance galore, some great football... it was a right old ding dong.

Was surprised that Modric and VDV didn't play, was they injured or something? or just getting a rest?

I like games when it is back and forth, with one aim and that is to score more than the other team.

Missed a few great chances though and left it a little getting those important 2nd and 3rd goals. We got there and it was fun.

Excellent second half.

Long really was a handful and made Kaboul's life difficult. Once he went off we found it a lot easier to defend and so could control the game better. Second half we came out very competently and played really well. We weren't that terrible first half, but West Brom played really well and we struggled a bit at times. Credit to the team that we hung in during their best periods and came back at them when they tired, it's what the great teams do. Even without Modric and VDV, we had twice as many shots on goal as West Brom.

Didnt see game. read a few of the reports. bbc in particular seemed to suggest the referee gave us the rub of the green. disallowed goal and 2 penalties and also that lennon duved for ours. any truth in any of this?

dont remember a disallowed goal, although did miss part of the game

2 penalty claims where dives.
Lennon was a soft pen, but a pen
and the ref wasn't bad, but could have booked a few more players on both sides.

Having just watched the game in full on Sky, their 2 pens weren't pens as they made a meal of the dives so the ref got those right.

Lennon had his heels clipped whilst running full pelt in the area and was a pen.

As for the disallowed goal, what game were the reporters watching as there wasn't one. :shrug:
