I hope we go in, ask politely, and buy him with their blessing at a price that both clubs are very happy to settle at.

We want to be on good terms for when we'll dip into their squad again in the future! They have an incredible amount of talent. This could be a great 'special partnership' for us.

Yeah, I meant "raid" in a Sun newspaper way. Happy to pay up if they keep providing players like Eriksen and Vertonghen.

Ah, fair enough I misunderstood your meaning. I thought you meant raid as in Genghis Khan.

I don't follow Ajax that much but did read something about their new kid Kishna which got some game time towards the later part of last season. I seem to recall they both play on the left...but I suppose one of them can be shifted to different position and still do well in Ajax system?

Would LOVE Fischer. One of those FM signings that are awesome when happen in reality. Be a great signing if it happened.

Ricardo Kishna is a left-footer who played as left-winger, and occasions plays as wide right forward. Lucas Andersen, another (talented) Dane, can play in Fischer's position and he is a right-footer.
This is a kind of make-it or break-it season for Fischer, though - and if he doesn't make any significant development this coming season his market value will drop a lot. However, his contract expires 2017, so time's on Ajax' side it seem.
I would really like to have Fischer at Spurs. Would have the LWF position sorted ouit for years to come hopefully.

Fischer in and Townsend out ?

If Fischer came in he would be a LWF, competing with Lennon and Chadli; Townsend would be competing with Lamela for the RWF spot. I would like to keep Townsend for at least 1 more season to see if he can live up to his potential.

I agree. I like what I've seen of Fischer, but it doesn't make sense unless Lennon would move back to splitting time with Lamela. I don't think that'd be optimal, as I think Lennon has done quite well in the LWF role in finding space behind. He hasn't done it for long either, so with more experience in the role and subsequent better timing in "gelling" with the midfielders, I think it could be a real weapon.

So as far as left-footed options go, I've no idea who we would replace Townsend with. Thauvin has been mentioned this summer, but I'm sure he would expect to start.

It's strange that we haven't lined up this guy as our LWF option. He's probably one of the best suited players to the Mopo system on the left hand side and is really highly rated.

Has played with Eriksen and we seem to be pretty good at dealing with Ajax.

He was the one I really wanted in this window. Oh well...:(

Not consistent enough yet. Currently Chadli is the better player in my opinion. Fischer has all the talent and potential, but he's best left to develop at Ajax right now.

Absolutely not good enough (yet).

Out until December as well which will make it almost a whole year out due to injuries.
