Love Ossie though I do ( that's me and him in my picture :-D ) I'd have thought that double winning superstar Cliff Jones would be worth a mention for number 7?

As for 16, surely Rocket Ronnie, just for that hatrick of his (though I don't know why but I remember him with the number 11 when he scored it, I might be going nuts here though).

As for 13, we need a sub goalie for this list anyway, and Ian Walker started as number 13 before getting number 1.... so how about him?

Or we could just leave it blank, like they used to when no players wanted to wear 13.

Ok, well thats the numbers filled, but i have to take Greaves out of the number 9 spot as he was either 8 or 10 in his time-chivers will go in there as 9, but does greaes deserve to take the 8 off Gazza, 10 off Hoddle or not make it at all?? Personally i think he should take the 8 of Gazza, much as it pains me to say it, but im happy to open it up again.

As the last few players are all so out of their depth in that list, im gonna try and get it changed so that its a squad of 16 as opposed to those whose numbers corresponded-if so, im sure we can have quite a barnstorming debate on who makes it into the all time Spurs squad!

I'd say give Greaves Gazza's 8. Gazza, wonderful though he was, didn't do as much for us or win as much with us as Greaves, whose strike rate makes him pretty much the best centre forward Europe has seen.

As for the number 9, Waddle had that as his number so that's an alternative to Chivers at least, but I reckon either will do, I know my dad loves both in pretty equal measure (though if pushed he might just say Chivers). Putting Waddle as number 9 would bring balance to the potential team as well, because as yet there is no genuine winger in 1 - 11. If not him, a cult choice could be a left winger who, though not superb, was a big part of our success in the early 80's (Whereas we never won a trophy with Waddle) and played over 200 games in the league for us... Tony Galvin.

Continuing with the possible cult choices is tinkering with our front line and giving the 11 shirt not to Duncan (who is worthy anyway) but a man who was under appreciated at the time, but scored a lot of goals for us over nearly a decade, a man who came through our youth ranks and started both legs of our 84 Uefa Cup win, Mark Falco.

The bench that comes about from that list is not so bad. Palacios is at least a great player, as was Ginola, and Walker at least was an England cap who came through our youth ranks and played for us for many years. Steed is a bit iffy but at least everyone loved him, and while Rosenthalw as an awful player... there's still that hatrick.

In conclusion, I don't think this looks too bad:

1.Jennings
2.Perryman 5.England 6.Mackay 3.Knowles
7.Ardiles 4.Blanchflower 10.Hoddle 9.Waddle*
8.Greaves 11.Duncan**

12.Palacios
13.Walker
14.Ginola
15.Steed
16.Rosenthal

* or Galvin
** or Falco
I really need to get a life me thinks

That's the flyer for the paper which obviously gets released tomorrow-ill hold back copies for all of the contributors and a couple fo extra for SC, so about 10, so million i could be able to send you one over if you PM me your address, likewise for anyone else that wants one, although ill have to do it on a first come first served basis for the few ill have spare.

Itll also be dropped off in the Bell and Hare and Bricklayers tomorrow, unless there will be any other popular pubs around WHL tomorrow?
