Last point of this..if the jokers at the top of the club think we are going to trek out to Milton Keynes every other weekend to watch this tripe they are sorely mistaken. I am actually concerned it may kill the club.

On the other hand, look on the bright side...we are still one point better off than from the same matches last season! Happy days!

Strootman was available for £15m, Schaar was getting rave reviews and we end up with Chiriches, Pjanic if we had ponied up the cash, or even Cabaye would have been a better fit for the Modric role than Dembele was, players were available, we have spent a ton of money cash in the last 3 windows. Its about balance and shopping smart.
Plus we passed on Benteke to take the more expensive Soldado... Remy was also available on loan... , we managed to screw up the Willian deal etc etc... why didn`t Levi offer top wages to the three of the Madid Stars Higuain, Di Maria and Coentrao that Real where trying to sell all that summer.... The three would probably have cost less than £100 million so we could have probably added a top centre back and still spent less than we sold.. Ok we would have higher wages but we would have had a much better team.

At two one down when we started to break with the ball he was jogging from the edge of the penalty area, disgusting attitude.

The sad thing is, we effectively chose to go with him over Gylfi, a decision I supported, but Gylfi had more fight in him than the rest of that sorry bunch put together.

The only way to change it is too weed out the chaff and change the mentality as a group, the reverse of what Rodgers has done bringing bad egg Mario in, i think Eriksen is a bit of a follower, seems to be a good pro but some players will naturally need geeing up in any team sport, not every player will have the fight inside them, they need to be inspired by others, its just human nature, some are stronger mentally than others, some are leaders and some are followers.
Eriksen given a decent group and a strong captain i have no doubt would have an excellent attitude.

I wouldn't put that pressure on him so soon. Just let the lad play...he's our most important player apart from Hugo.
Thing is, I don't think he would be bothered by it, rather thrive...seems to have a pair unlike most players

Could well do, I just wouldnt risk it at the moment as he's one of the few players that we can rely on at the moment to be consistently good.

So far we have seen improvement in some players and areas and deficiencies in others. It was always gonna be steps forward and back but at the end of the season you want to be at your goal.

Today was a hands down disaster but I'm not going to let it instantly flush away any of the positive elements we have developed this season.

The only players I've seen improved are Rose and Kane. Mason has also stepped up well. I'd agree with you if I really thought I'd seen signs of improvement as a team, but other than QPR and some Europa games, it hasn't been there. I still see midfield players standing a few feet from each other and not using any width. I see Ade coming way too far back in the midfield and no-one in the pentalty box. I see Lamela - Chadli - Ericksen walking back from midfield when we lose the ball, and in general providing no cover to the DM and defence. I have seen zero imrovement in any of these things.....which also makes me doubt we'll be anywhere near where we want to be at the end of the year.

I don't think its as easy as that, Di Maria went for huge money, i don't think any of the Real players are realistic in the slightest.
I don't believe we screwed up the Willian deal either, massive foul play by his agent and a certain underhand action with the Anzhi owner to take Et'o in that deal by Abramovich, once Chelsea got involved we were toast.

We've been more progressive in our linking from back to front (especially since mason came in), more cohesive overall; played some lovely football at times. It's gradual. I don't think poch helps himself by picking Ade and not using soldado and kane enough. We also need Walker/Naughton/Yedlin as that flank is a problem. We need a set CB pair to get to know each other properly.

We need to clear out 2/3 in Jan and then do some precise surgery in the summer.

The job at hand is huge..there is no quick fix. Anyone in the hot seat would need time to sort through the carnage of last season.

Think we should have gone Kane and Soldado up top today, at home, against a piss poor team. The two of them clearly work well together and Kane is in shit hot form, baffles me that we continue playing Adebayor, the sulky bastard doesn't deserve to wear the shirt of Tottenham Hotspur.

Is that two thirds of the squad? I fucking hope so :)

The fans could be louder but when your team folds like that against poor opposition then no wonder there's bad vibes in the ground. At one point Adebayor chased down the centre back and put pressure on their back 4 and everyone was applauding him including me......and then I thought we are applauding someone who earns 70k a week for making an effort. The c*nt should be doing that all day until he drops with fatigue not when he fancies it. There's no soul on the pitch and if there was there would be a lot more soul in the stands.

just the usual we need to improve bollocks
Not at all, he showed he understands what needs to be done...

"With mentality, we need to work hard. It is not easy. We need to be more strong, like a team. This is our challenge.

"We need to speak, we need to create a different situation on the training ground and work.

"We know how but always you need to spend time to work in this area. It is not the same as in physical or tactical situations. It is a different area."

To think West Ham beat City yesterday and we couldn't beat a side who have been fucking atrocious since selling Cabaye last January.

.

It might be a horrible thing to admit, but West Ham have actually been very savvy in the transfer market this summer and are proof that you don't need to spend millions to get players who can fit this league and make a difference.

We on the other hand spent the Bale money like a chav with a lottery win.

There is no cohesion or strategy to our transfer policy. It's the obvious targets (whi we inevitably can't get as they want too much money and we have too many competitors) or players who are cheap or alternatively don't suit the PL or the system the current manager wants to play.

We end up with a bloated and unbalanced squad.

We can't keep blaming the managers.
