Weird commentator reaction to the sending off . Glad to see in the thread that others here saw what happened. So it wasn't just our opinion that Verts blatantly playacted to get the Ukrainian sent off .

Pure bias (to us) that the commentary team said it was a good decision .

At no point have I said it wasn't a red. Jan's reaction was still pathetic.

I would normally agree, except for that Zoozoo guy being an epic dildo in both games and diving all over the place. I think a taste of his own medicine was deserved, even more so when it was a genuinely malicious headbutt he gave Jan.

Jan dropping at that moment was possibly coincidental though, I get the feeling he's wanted to drop to the floor and cry for about the last 5 months.

This might just be me but I don't think we would have won this game if we were playing their full team. They were hungrier than us, more organized and as a consequence presented more of a threat. After watching this game I think that really what lets us down is the fact that we don't really play as a team. Everyone's trying to be the next Gareth Bale but no one realizes that we can achieve so much more if we play as a unit. In any case, happy for the win. Onwards and upwards.
I don't think any of the goals were due to them being outnumbered.

Totally agree, make a point as a manager definitely, but any manager in any walk of life should NEVER simply blacklist an asset. Think fair enough if Ade had stepped over the line, deal with it and move on, allow Ade the opportunity to get back in the team.

I sympathise with AVB to the extent that Adebayor had undermined his authority and criticised him in front of his team mates. But you do have to wonder why Adebayor felt confident doing that in the first place. I can't see someone like Mourinho being emotionally naive enough to allow his best players to feel alienated and frustrated to the extent that they need to speak out against him...

To be honest I am almost as ecstatic that that utter cad zuzuela, or whatever his scummy name is, lost the game for his team by being a dirty fucker, as I am with the win.

Remember loathing him from the first game. So glad he got his comeuppance.

Must say that the only problem with watching ITV+1 is listening to Andy Townsend's excruciating commentary.

Frankly Soldado was a little lucky with the elbow and Vertonghen made a meal to get their player sent off.

That being said, quality goals... But that was far from good enough if we want to beat Benfica and go further.

Same issues persist and I fear we may need to win this competition now to get CL to boot.
A Champions League berth for the winner comes in 14/15 I believe.

Exactly, Jose would maybe discipline the player, make a stand, but turn it round and put the impetuous on Ade to work his way back into the first team.

That way you get to swing ur dick but also leave it up to Ade to prove a point.

Tim's thinking, "I have no fucking idea what this means but go along with it!".

Great win. Nice to see some guts and passion, could be a real spark that result for us. Ade plays like 3 players when he's on it, eriksen was great but we're still shocking at the back. At least it was fun again....

Ade man of the season so far. AVB was nuts to ignore him.
Excuse me, but Ade put himself in that position. I would have done the same if Ade had done that with me in front of the entire squad.

There is a time place for everything.

If I had done that at one of my jobs, it wouldn't have been long before I was given a P45.
