Jurgen Klopp wants the Premier League game against Tottenham to be replayed after Luis Diaz's goal was wrongly disallowed by the video assistant referee.

VAR Darren England and assistant Dan Cook did not overrule when Diaz was flagged offside at 0-0 on Saturday.
Liverpool lost 2-1 thanks to a 96th-minute own goal from Joel Matip.

"Something like this never happened, so that is why I think a replay is the right thing to do," said Klopp.

Mistakes like this happen all the time, what about the time that Jan V was given offside in his own half? Or the mendes goal? Or when recently our goalkeeper was completely taken out and the offender was only given a yellow card?

What an absolute **** klopp is if he thinks a rematch is needed.

It's a shame because I thought Klopp's initial reaction after the match was sensible and dignified. He's an intelligent man and has obviously been advised that a replay won't happen but has decided to to use the current sense of grievance to help his team feel united. Fergie used to do the same.

Mistakes happen. The audio file shows , predictably, that the officials, far from corrupt, were horrified that the mistake had been made. They should be sanctioned but not destroyed. Which one of us has never made a stupid mistake at work?

People need to think calmly how to avoid the same thing happening again. Make the protocol clear: don't say "check complete" but "decision is onside." And amend the regulations to allow the referee to correct a mistake after a restart in exceptional circumstances.

Liverpool were hard done by and very unlucky in that game. So are many teams in many games. It's part of the random nature of football that's the reason we love the game.

Jog on Jurgen and sup it up! Agree the game has gone with all the technology in the world there will always be human error to disrupt the flow.

I'm absolutely certain if the shoe was on the other foot they would have swept it under the carpet. Maybe Jurgen needs to work on his team's discipline from Saturday that was as bad as it gets and usually rolls from the top down.

It's easy to mock klopp and Liverpool when we are standing on the other side of the fence.

But If we were the first team to have a incorrect decision against us in the history of football we would soon change our tune.

That decision changed everything. At 0-1 up, outnumbering us 10 players to 11 with only most of the game to hold on Liverpool were surely denied a definite win.

Oh that’s embarrassing.

To have your out of touch, victim status claimer fans lacking self awareness wanting it is one thing.

For the manager to come out and say it is beyond ridiculous.

It isn't just Klopp. The club itself put out some irresponsible stuff on its official social media posts.

It's just so entitled. If you asked every team in the premier league whether VAR has made a mistake against their team they will be able to name at least a few. It's part of the game! It was part of the game before VAR it is part of the game after VAR. No other team has gone this far about a mistake, they accept it was wrong a move on.

As i said on another thread why should Liverpool get any special treatment compared to every other team this has happened to? The only difference is they scream and shout and stamp their feet louder than anyone else. Doesn't mean they deserver preferential treatment.

Also saying that Jota got two yellows having not touched Udogie. Jota committed 4 fouls in the short time he was on the pitch.

Someone posted a video of Chelsea being awarded a goal against us even though the ball was nowhere near the goal line. We have had several occasions when players were flagged offside and play stopped only for replays to show they were on. VAR lines drawn on top of each other, goals chalked off for being less than 10mm off etc etc.
