Anyone else surprised this is on at 3pm Saturday, London derby with Coronation on in morning?
I didn't expect to see any games in London on Saturday, strange decision. Even more so as we are playing a team with the word 'Palace' in their name.

We're the only game on in London I believe and it's after the coronation.

Only just, Balcony and then flyby is only at 2.30 . Is there a bet anywhere for a delayed kickoff lol
No PL games until 3pm. I fully expected it to be moved to Sunday or Monday soon after the coronation date was announced. But seeing as they haven't and we are the only major London football match scheduled I'd imagine they had this in mind.

I think it's very surprising. Millions of extra people travelling into London for the day and 60,000 headed to the match by road and rail networks, the policing and emergency requirements and then everyone leaving the match when huge numbers will be leaving London. Not saying there will necessarily be an issue, I'm just surprised that a request/ order wasn't made by the relevant authorities.

Ryan Mason has had two games and no wins but they have been two tough games and he has shown a capacity to get the team playing some nice football and scoring goals, however he has not yet been able to address the issue of our defensive ineptitude. We proved again at Anfield how ridiculously easy we are to score goals against. I hope that with six days of preparation time Mason and his team might have been able to tighten us up a bit before the visit of a reborn Crystal Palace. Under Roy Hodgson they have picked up some good results and they come into this game, like us, on the back of a 4-3 result, however, they were on the right side of their one! However, West Ham scored all three of their goals from set pieces which offers us promise given that our set piece guru Gianni Vio stayed when all of the other Italians were fired. It seems like a simple fix on the face of it, stop conceding two or more first half goals and then continue to score like we have been and the wins will flow. I believe that process starts on Saturday. Tottenham Hotspur 3 Crystal Palace 1. COYS!

The 4-0 away win there was quite a surprise. Interesting to see if we can stop the banter team concession of a 2 or 3 goal lead.

Having said that, I'm not too invested in us finishing in European spots after a wretched season. So interest in results lies elsewhere even though it would be nice to enjoy a much better performance than we've been seeing recently.

I'd worry about the state of our defence up against a palace side in good form.

Ultimately it'll come down to whether our clowns in defence can pull themselves together - we know our attackers can score 2 or 3 goals but they can't be needing to score so many each game.

Not sure if discussed elsewhere, but will everyone who's going to this match be bellowing out the National Anthem as required by the PL? Or will you, like me, be staying in the bar a bit longer?

If they do then don't make them feel ashamed doing it. Let them do it.

Roy's boys are in fine fettle these days, but they still ship plenty. It's all about those opening 20 mins... keep heads and just let our frontline do their work.

11/2 Palace to score in the first 15 minutes, probably not the worst tenner I've ever chucked away.

I think we'll get at least a point today, but I really don't trust our defense to keep it tight. I'll go 4-2 with us conceding first.

Looking forward to this match as it seems we are on the cusp of a mini turnaround.

In Manila and Singapore the next few weeks and realizing the effort to follow the team live. so here's a shout out to all the Asian and Aussie fans. Sometimes we in the US and Europe don't realize how easy we have it.

If going by London Bridge, how should we get to the ground. All things considered. Trying to avoid the chaos.

Personally I’d walk (15-20 mins) or bus to Liverpool Street, then you can get the train to either white hart lane or Northumberland park.

In June 1991, Roy Hodgson sits back and surveys the season just past. He's done well. He's got Neuchatel Xamax to third in the Swiss League and qualified them for the UEFA Cup (where they will ultimately knock out Celtic and beat Real Madrid, although only in the home leg). Not bad for his first season with the club, although, as Xamax are his sixth team, and Switzerland is the third country in which he's managed, there's no doubt that his experience has served him well.

Meanwhile, in Enfield, Lisa Mason, exhausted from the birth, turns to her husband and says 'I think we'll call him Ryan'.

Surely, this must be the biggest age (and experience) gap there's ever been between two Premier League managers. All the best, Ryan.

Interesting game this.

United and Liverpool were almost byes for Mason but this is a match we should be winning, and a match we should be controlling.

Conte would have set us up on the back-foot and bored everyone to tears. Will be interesting to see if Mason has been able to change that negative mindset at all.

Agree. Son seemed well up for it in the 2nd half last game and hope he can carry that intensity through to this game.
Son was good after the first 15 minutes could have scored 4 or goals if the posts moved slightly
