I have my second date with a nice girl tonight. She's a Spurs fan so we're heading out to watch this, drink and be merry. COYFS, I'm counting on you!!!

In many ways its win-win situation for you tonight then. If we are victorious, you will have a splendid evening in the company of fine filly, and if we lose she will be emotional and vulnerable, meaning you can can take advantage and slip the sausage in.

First 20mins blitzkrieg and it could be all done and dusted. Must play without fear and hammer them immediately.

If only we could recreate the atmosphere of our first foray into Europe, the return leg against Gornik. 66,000 fans (bar a handful of Poles) that evening created an electric atmosphere that I have not experienced since. Despite the fact that Gornik were used to playing in front of massive crowds (80,000+) at home, they couldn't cope with the proximity of the crowd. We went off like a bat out of hell and IIRC we were three up within 10 minutes on our way to our 8-1 victory. Probably my greatest ever memory from the Lane.

Ditto MrWoolley, I'm sat here at home, still in my dressing gown, counting down to the game pretty much!

I'm running thorugh all the emotions of drama - going a goal behind / going 2 goals behind / it being a tight affair with the scores level and spurs going gung ho chasing that goal etc.. now so I don't have to feel the real pain if it happens in the match! Saying that, I feel this could be a game where we are all nervous women but spurs go out there and trash em 6-1!! Let's hope it is one of those nights at the lane....

Just comparing our european squad to that of Liverpool and i am shocked. Growing up Liverpool were the team in the eighties and everyone knew all their players, i look at that squad and there are 6 that i have never heard of and the rest i'm not convinced of their ability. Look at our team and taking the Tottenham bias glasses off for a minute, there are 2 maybe 3 players that Liverpool fans won't recognise. I know the likes of Torres and Gerrard won't be playing but still i think it reflects that if we keep our heads straight this season we could leave the reds behind. If they are confident to go to Trabzonspor and get a result with that team we should be confident to push ourselves into the elite at WHL tonight and year on year.

Liverpool (from): Reina, Johnson, Kelly, Skrtel, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Aurelio, Cole, Spearing, Poulsen, Lucas, Pacheco, Shelvey, Babel, Kuyt, Ngog, Eccleston, Gulacsi, Hansen (is their defence that bad? The man is 60 at least!).

Tottenham (from): Gomes, Cudicini, King, Hutton, Bale, Kaboul, Naughton, Bassong, Dawson, Corluka, Jenas, Assou-Ekotto, Walker, Huddlestone, Rose, Lennon, Palacios, Kranjcar, Dos Santos, Crouch, Defoe, Keane, Pavyluchenko.

The upside of tonight's game is that we can get away with a 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 would obviously take us to extra time so assuming we can stay ahead of the buggers on goals scored in the 90 then it's largely job done.

It obviously shouldn't have gotten this bad but it's still largely stacked in our favour and I think Young Boys will get a rude awakening if we really fly out of the traps like we did against City.
