I really want us to get the right kind of ownership that isn't involved in sport washing, I think the fun in life is overcoming the challenge, rather than the result at all costs. Partly why I didn't mind enic too much because I thought a manager coming in and winning despite them would be an incredible feat to witness.

Anyway, we must now be an incredibly exciting proposition for investors, I imagine if this goes through that ENIC's valuation is no longer going to be a problem and now there's a football club that has extraordinary potential and might be available for a lot less than previously demanded. This is a brilliant position from a fan's perspective, if investors don't have to spend all the money on simply buying the club, there's some margin to actually do something.

We'll see.

Storm in a teacup.
All due respect it isn't for Joe. The state's takes this sort of thing very seriously and reads that at very least the pilots have turned against him. Can't see it affecting spurs hugely but it's massive for him and could genuinely lead to jail time and that's not hyperbole

It may well turn out to be that, but it's yet again more bad PR and unnecessary focus on the club because of Enic. It just keeps happening over and over again.
It's certainly more ammunition for the doom and gloom brigade.

We shall see. My confidence in really rich people being punished isn't very high at the moment.

My personal feeling is this could well be something, but lots of our fans who hate all things ENIC will jump on anything like this and inflate it.

As ever, time will tell.

You can keep sweeping every time another bad PR story breaks, but our carpet is nigh on touching the ceiling now.
I'm not sweeping anything under the carpet, I'm trying to keep a sense of perspective.

It's less than ideal to have bad PR, but I'm not convinced that our almost entirely absent owner having legal difficulties is going to cause any major ructions. In a world with ManC, PSG and now Newcastle, us having a wealthy owner who has been accused of insider trading feels pretty small beer to me.

As I say, time will tell and maybe it will cause huge issues down the line but at the moment it feels pretty minor to me.

If they didn't keep giving us ammunition........

Absolutely agree. We could have somewhat been happy sticking our heads in the sand if we were winning a few cups, but we aren't even afforded that joy. Anyway, I look forward to paying £7.50 for a Neck Oil in the stadium on the first game back 😂

However, the hypocrisy of the USA charging anyone with insider trading is laughable...

Not so long ago the hierarchy was JL, DL and FP. Now 2/3 of that structure are under a corruption cloud.
:Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_32:

Not an easy time for DL, who
c) is wondering whether the PL will decide that between the FP and JL issues it’s time to assess the fitness of the current ownership to run a club under their auspices,

maybe the Trust and the ENIC out group should proactively invite the PL to take a closer look

perhaps dealing with Russian clubs might also be getting the PL interested

But there’s a vast difference, which lays in the fact that while Lewis may be a high-octane Del-boy, and should be punished for his wrongdoing, THFC has done nothing and received virtually no benefit from his wealth, is not connected with his wrongdoing, and is not being used as a front to divert criticism from, and thereby enable the continuation of human rights abuses, and buy global acceptance, and divert criticism of an abusive and restrictive regime that very directly controls the lives of many millions of people.
LOL, that really is downplaying him quite a significant amount.

I'd suggest you read into what happened on Black Wednesday and then come back to this chat.

if Levy doesn’t have enough time to devote to certain activities he needs then to learn to delegate or hire people to take the load. Nothing worse than a manager who thinks they can do it all by themselves as a superman.
100% because you can be guaranteed he not focusing on anything about the club at moment. He be too busy covering any links between him and Wee Joe's trading deals to save his own ass.

So who were the acquaintances who benefitted from Uncle Joe's information. It would be surprising if DL wasn't privy to some of the information. That is not illegal unless he acted upon it.

Suspect that Donna is going to be earning her inflated salary keeping the club and her boss from being mixed up with the case.

We live in interesting times.

I'm probably in the minority but absolutely agree with you. I'll ignore it now and concentrate on the football.

I highly doubt Levy would have acted upon anything to make himself a few quid.

If he's relying on her for effective PR he might as well head straight to jail and admit to every unsolved crime of the last 30 years.

You hope you mean.

This is his boss, mentor and business partner, if Lewis thinks it's ok to do with pilots then there is no reason to think he wouldn't be doing it with someone as close as Levy is.

I don't know and neither do you but would anyone really be surprised?
