We need to aim for the league, Arsenal aren't better than us imo and they are going for the league.

We have the best keeper in the league and the spine of the worlds best national side at centre half.

We can grind out results, we also have one of the top 5 strikers in Europe who is tailor made for our system.

We need to believe, aim for 4th and we'll end up 5th.

I said it last month, we're going to win the league lads.

We're 4 points behind Arsenal and our next 3 fixtures are.

Everton Away
Leicester Home
Sunderland Home

While they play
Newcastle Home
Liverpool Away
Stoke Away

I reckon we can cut the gap and they also have to come to the Lane.

They have two toss ups, we do as well. Not sure I see how we can confidently state we will pick up points on them. Everton are playing great attacking football and Leicester are obviously playing well, too.

These are only ever hypotheticals but nice to look at our next 5 games.

Everton (a) - 1

Sunderland (h) - 3

Leicester (h) - 3

Palace (a) - 1

Norwich (a) - 3

If we could walk away from the next 5 with 11 points out of 15, I think that would be a realistic and good points return.

That would leave us on 46 points with 24 games gone, I reckon we would be sitting nicely on 3rd by then.

Leicester are starting to look a bit found out and think City will beat them tomorrow.

To be honest there's no reason why in theory we can't win all of those above games, which all look winnable in their own way.

Leicester are looking a bit found out ? They have won 5 of there last 6 games lol, till the Liverpool game they were on one hell of a run bit early to make that assumption.

Get in, great result today!!. Two defeats all season!! Is their any team in this division to fear? I'm cautiously daring to dream. There is no reason not to dream is there!! This league is so unpredictable. Do I think we'll win it?, no, but we can give it a go can't we. Yes we all know it's hard to sign quality in January, but will we ever have a better opportunity? One or two quality signings in January could make us real contenders...COYS!!..

When forecasting the result against Everton are people aware they play the first leg of the League Cup S/F against Man City 3 days after their game against us ? Dare I suggest they might be pre-occupied.
They might or the players might see the game as a chance to stake a claim in the for the semi final.

My only concern is that our entire game plan seems to be based on going ahead and staying ahead, but when we get pegged back or go behind we suddenly look pretty clueless. It's been a repeated problem.

Ha agree, only on the football world are a team looking found out because they lost there last game one nil to Liverpool away from hope. Scrap the fact they won the previous 5!

"Can we win the title? The numbers reflect that it is possible but the most important thing for us is to try to keep inside our thoughts, try to win every game and to keep working hard," Pochettino said.

"We are very young, the youngest squad in the Premier League, and you need to show your strengths in all the league.

"But to speak about the title -- it's more important to keep working hard and showing our maturity."

From that the headline reads Mauricio Pochettino: Tottenham have strength to challenge for Prem title.
Ridiculous really.

People are missing the point here, we have got ourselves into the top four, not by a fluke and not by luck but by a steady consistent climb up the table, that climb has been unspectacular but relentless.
Palace are right up there with us but they have been before as have West Ham and Liverpool yet we have crept beyond them and we now have the opportunity to do the same with Utd, will we do that? Well based on how we have reached this point we may well do, we have not been up and down this year, this year the trajectory has been continuously upward.
About a week ago I posted this, it appears we have now done the same with Utd and we now have the opportunity to do the same with City, will we do that? We may well do, the trajectory is still upward and still appears to be relentless.

The NLD at the Lane in March could be as significant as it ever has been!

But yeah, half way through the season - we're in the mix for the title race, of course we are.

We are as low as 8-1 with some bookies to win the league. Can't ever remember our odds being that low. We may very well not win it but we are in a title race at the moment.
