Yeah just saw that. Was hoping for Eriksen if we hadn't signed him, but Carroll would more than make up for it.

SSN reporting that De Boer has asked for Carroll on loan, Spurs are happy for him to go but have left it up to Carroll to decide on way or t'other.

I'd jump at the chance to have that experience providing my chances at Spurs were going to be limited to 10 appearances. I do think we could use him a little more though depends what he's told by AVB.

Wow, so there is something to this? If I was a young passing midfielder and Frank fucking de Boer actually asked for me to come play at Ajax for a season I would shit myself. If he'll actually play a bit, I hope this is true and he takes it. What an opportunity. Ajax is a truly special club.

I'll be honest and say it's still surprising to me. Carroll is an awesome young player but Ajax produce talent like him for fun. The standard of technical ability and the expectation of playing good stuff is still very high.

I think Tom Carroll is probably my favourite product of our youth academy certainly in my living memory.

I absolutely love him, really hope this is true. Regular first-team football at Ajax will give him experience at a top European club under the watch of De Boer and Overmars and will give him valuable CL experience.

Give them the boy for a year, I have every faith they'll return us the man in June. Happy days.
