What's new

This is what irritates me about THFC ticketing

I have a Season Ticket and find out 2 hours ago that for personal reasons I cannot go today.

I contact the ticket office by phone to do the usual exchange method, but the ticket office was closed (only available 9 to 5.30, Monday to Friday).

I can't give it to mate as that breaks the rules.

I cannot obviously advertise it here as that would breach the rules of SC.

The THFC website at 12.35pm today stated that I couldn't use exchange system to sell it. THFC therefore don't get another 20% of the ticket value through the exchange system even though I have already paid for it but leave an empty seat.

I then phone the Ticket Master hotline who tell me that I will have to visit the stadium in person in order to exchange the seat.

If I could do that, I would be sitting in it.

Ridiculous rules, and I didn't even want any money for the experience - someone else would have loved it bearing in mind that there are supposed to be over 20,000 people on the waiting list!

IMO you can'y blame them for not selling your ticket 3 hours before kick off...

Just one of those things.

No, he's grumpy, he said so in the thread title.

Yawn, I am grumpy because the system deprived a ticket going to someone who had never been to WHL - like I said, I would have given it away.

Agree with others, just give it to a mate. Whenever my dad, uncle or one of my cousins can't make it, I find a mate to take the ticket instead.

Next time post this on here in advance, just make sure it is worded like you did above: "i have this damn ticket that i can't swap or get rid of - how annoying" and then just sit back and wait for the PM's to come rolling in. ;)

As long as your mate isnt on the wanted list of MI5 and FBI etc just give it away.
Crikey we must have all shared tickets. I've been at the expense of others who couldnt go. It's not a photo ID card.
I'm pretty sure my sister in law swapped seats with a mate of mine - so her ticket had a blokes name on it!

My 2 sons share a ST and go in turns. I've even told the club quite a few times because of different ticket issues. The club knows that not everyone can go to every game - you know that also. It's just you are stuck too far away to get to the ground. Come on, admit it! :p
