If you notice, i have not posted anything in the RO myself since the days h was in charge. At that time I could say with a great deal of certainty, that what I was hearing was nailed on gospel truths as per Mr Redknapp himself.

During that time I built up a rapport with individuals through match day hospitality and social media also. I have a network of people now who keep me informed but you could most certainly call it 2nd hand information. I cant confirm or deny that they are hearing good info or if in fact they are telling me the truth, however I dont feel there is any harm in sharing.

I also use my QPR knowledge to "trade" with. Journos love all that

Have a look back through the press snippets and see who banged the Remy to QPR drum. I got a nice 12\1 on that. Also the Scotty Parker deal right now. You'll see my sources then . Its up to you to decide whether you believe them

i don't know what is happening here but no one is reading what i post. i haven't said whether i think you're itk or not. just that the latest post of yours in the read only says we've got soldado, i pointed this out and bill oddie said no one has said it's done, when clearly your post is inferring that it is. same goes for grey fox and the cobra.

I agree they were definately hinting that the deal is done, I don't see how it could be interpreted any other way. Fortunately we all know that things are rarely 100% done though, and everything could change or fall appart so none of us will go over the top if things do go to pot.

He informed us of money being moved in perceived anticipation of signing Moutinho, Damiao and Villa.

you seem to be going off on a massive tangent. i'm not disputing whether they're itk or not, just that ryantegan's latest read only post says we've got soldado and grey fox's says levy's signed a striker. that's the same as saying it's done. maybe they should've worded it more like gards' post which says we're just close to getting him.

Your post implies that we have control over how and what an ITK writes. Or indeed that anyone does. Their posts read to me as implication, not factual statement. The interpretation is with the reader. I read the ITK and am often surprised others seem to be reading something different to me. But then I remember that they may not have witnessed Corluka's player photo in the jersey three weeks (and several Man City games/Mark Hughes metldowns) before he was announced, or Arshavin and Zenit agreeing terms before the most ridiculous goal-post moving of all time, or Ashley Young clearly being identified as in talks with us (someone mistook Kyle Walker), or Carlton Cole's failed medical because he was drunk... so many stories, so many close shaves.

These ITK guys are brilliant. They are what bring us here and help us enjoy the window, but they are reporting news that is a whisper from a source and at least a little removed from the absolute moment you read it. So, it's never done until you've seen the player with your own eyes. If that's a tangent, I'm sorry. But it's reasonably relevant for anyone who believes Soldado is "done". I promise you he's not.

I personally believe you but I only allow myself to believe any ITK because I know I won't spaz out if it falls through. I just put the disclaimer in my post to be on the safe side but I have full faith that what you pass on is true to the best of your knowledge

Many of us, whatever our vocation in life, are used to dealing with sources.

You make your own professional and personal judgement about the value and importance to be given to each source.

It's not a science, but it is an art. And seeing ITK appearing some time later in national newspapers is curiously satisfying..

I think it's certainly possible that the Soldado deal is as good as done. It's never 100% until all is signed sealed and delivered with the player holding the shirt on the official site. However I can understand if a deal has been agreed with Valencia that they would want to do some PR work in the media and sign a replacement first.

All the talk from Valencia is to save face because they're selling arguably their best player. They need to make it clear in the media's eyes that they are fighting tooth and nail to keep him. The last thing they want is to look like they have rolled over and sold a great player. I expect they'll have a replacement lined up before finalising the sale.

I'm not going to argue about who might be right or wrong itk wise but I seem to recall Harry saying that Levy had told him Mata was in the bag. Well you can't get much closer to itk than that and that all went Pete Tong so I guess we have to accept people tell it as they hear it
Anyway fvck it, with nothing else going on at least it gives us something to talk about
