Just a guess does Blake not want Vorm?? And sees it as a waste of money??

Why not just let us all know Blake.

I'm not sure why people are complaining about the potential fee for Vorm. As long as he improves the team and makes us stronger then who really gives a shit about fees? It's not like he'd be our only signing.

I'd say over 90% of this forum would agree that we don't have a perfectly good back up keeper.

And this has been spelt out to you several times that Vorm could well be our future number one if we end up getting him.

90% of this forum also thought we were getting a 25 goal a season world class striker and world class box to box midfielder last summer.

Hopefully Rose's attitude of him thinking he's better than he is will result on him leaving the club.

actually, quite a few have agreed with me. even a top dog like bus conductor. just they know it's not worth the hassle of being hounded by the mob.

I'd be astonished if he sticks around.

I can see poch not liking what he's seeing on all levels from him. I'd be surprised if he hasn't he's been in sulk mode since pre-season started as well.

Fair enough. Then who would you suggest getting as back up goalkeeper?

We are going under the assumption that you are always right. Assume Friedel does not want to play second fiddle anymore and wants to focus on his coaching badges. What would you have then?

i'd scale through the list of free agent keepers and pick the best one. that or find the best young keeper we can with the view of him taking over from hugo when we decide to let him go. i think it's bad business to spend money on guaranteed backups, all players should be striving to be first choice, it promotes healthy competition within the squad.

So you think having Vorm up Lloris' arse - in the most figurative of sense - isn't healthy competition??

You went on a bender last night didn't you?

*And by that I don't mean you golden showered a gay

90% of this forum also thought we were getting a 25 goal a season world class striker and world class box to box midfielder last summer.

I don't know many strikers that consistently score 25 league goals a season and Soldado though with a very good and consistent goal record his best was 24, so I don't think anyone was expecting 25 goals a season. I don't think anyone suggested he was world class either, more a very good striker who was on the fringes of a world class international team.
However that aside I think clubs look on a new player as a four of five year project, if they hit the ground running and shine very quickly all the better, but some times it takes a bit longer.
I still think we have bought a lets say a quality consistent goalscorer who should show a much better tally this season and a potentially world class wide attacker in Lamela, come to that a potentially world class AM in Eriksen and hope to see them develop into that in their time here
Serious question though, did anyone really think Paulinho was a world class box to box mid? Sure some thought he looked a very good box to box mid who could score a few goals but world class?
I guess everyone has their own feel for what they class as world class, but certainly in all the posts I can remember about both Paulinho and Soldado I can't recall a single person classing either as world class or anyone expecting Soldado to consistently hit 25 goals in the PL

vorm's not going to displace lloris so no. lloris knows he's #1 and vorm knows he's #2. at this point vorm is swansea's 3rd choice so how anyone expects him to compete as our 1st choice is a little strange.
