Goimg from that womans fight to the adesanya/romero fight. What an anti climatic ending for that PPV. That was a garbage “fight.”

If anyone hasn't seen the Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Weili Zhang fight the do yourself a favour and go watch it (y) Best women's MMA fight ever, and up there with the best MMA fights ever full stop.

Adesanya vs Romero was a snooze fest but the rest of the card was pretty good with some interesting match-ups. A profitable night for me with 5 out of 6 of my bets coming in .

Watching the Joanna v Zhang fight at the moment. Sod being the greatest women’s fight of all time, it’s up there as one of the greatest UFC fights of all time.

In the post fight press conference, Dana labelled it exactly as you've just done, so you're not a bad judge.

Watch out for the upcoming Adesanya v Costa fight in July. That's going to be another one to challenge the 'all time' ratings.

UFC Brasilia was kind of eerie. Also kind of dull, which was strange as the match-ups were pretty interesting. The lack of atmosphere really made a huge difference.

Seems the Khabib v Ferguson fight is off again FFS. Khabib is stuck in Russia and can't get out as the country is in lockdown. Bloody hell.

I just watched this interview with Ariel Hewani and DC which is interesting. All sorts of names are now being thrown into the ring as potential opponents for Ferguson April 18th. Justin Gaethje, Jorge Masvidal...personally I'd love to see Masvidal smash the horrible bastard's face into a pulp, but of course, he'll only have a few weeks to trrain for it, so who knows.

I take very mild offence to your opinion of Tony @Spurslove

Yes, he’s hardly classy with his blue language and nonsense talk, but he’s just generally an absolute nut, and in a hilarious way a lot of the times. He’s a true one of a kind in the biz, and an amazingly exciting fighter who utilises tools and techniques that not one other single MMA fighter does. Very disappointed you can’t appreciate the absolute madness that is Tony and you should be ankle picked for your troubles !

I’m desperate for him to beat Khabib. Khabib had an absolute cheek kicking Tony’s belt away, a belt which is very much as legitimate as Khabibs who won his against a 3rd choice last minute opponent.

I s'pose it's all about opinions ad it's a shame we don't share any on this subject. Ferguson sending a tweet to Khabib yesterday calling him his bitch will (I believe) come back to bite him. Nobody goes 28-0 without damn good reason. Hopefully, one day after all this virus nonsense is behind us, we'll get to find out which of these two madmen get's the bragging rights.

Stay well and safe.

I guess whichever fight followed the Joanna v Weili fight would have come out seond best, but Dana called it right in the post event press conference when he said it 'sucked' as a main event PPV. Romero was a disgrace in my opinion and he made it even worse when, after the 'fight' he accused Izzy of not wanting to fight!

Hopefully you took my post in the tongue in cheek fashion it was intended !

Khabib and Tony are far and away the best two lightweights in the world, and have been for some time now. It’s an absorbing fight - Tony doesn’t have the best take down defence truth be told, however, Khabib has never faced someone with such active and creative BJJ from the bottom, slicing elbows from all angles standing up or on the floor , nor someone with endless stamina like Tony.

Tony’s catalogue of 12 wins in a row are every bit as impressive as Khabib’s record. He’s got 18 wins out of last 19.

It’s an extremely hard one to call as the saying ‘there’s levels to this’ is very prevalent here in particular. Perhaps Tony does just get taken down and beat up in regular fashion but it’s very possible that his extremely offensive and unique standup can damage and cut Khabib and/or that his active ground game can pose Khabib serious problems.

Basically, this fight has to happen somehow this year. It just has to.

Yes, I absolutely did take your post in the manner in which you made it, no worries there.

I agree this fight HAS to happen some time this year. For one reason or another it's been made and put off four times now, so please God after all the current virus stuff is thankfully behind us, it can be re-scheduled for later this year and the disputes can be settle once and for all.

Obviously, much of the nastiness between the two is manufactured to sell tickets, we know that, but even so, I really don't believe the two guys like each other much. I remember the run up to the Conor v Khabib match and as fat as trash talking, that one was on a different level, that's why things went completely crazy after the fight.

It's a shame these tactics are used (and I'm sure they're encouraged by Dana and his team) but there's no doubt, people are far more likely to buy the PPV when there's a note of real hatred between the two.

Yep, these two guys have been talking this shit for years. Last time they were scheduled to fight the media conference call with them was the exact same as the recent presser if not worse. It was pretty hilarious though - Tony’s usual nutty stream of thought, Khabib calling him stupid man and not knowing what language he speaks etc etc

They are just long overdue facing off in the octagon

The longer this feud goes on, the more we look forward to it all being settled where it should be. Inside the Octagon.

BRING IT ON!!

Conor vs Ferguson now
Looking forward to it, possibly more than the Khabib fight
Fair play to Conor for taking a fight with Tony on short notice

Just in case anyone missed it, the Weili v Joanna fight is being re-run on BT Sport 3 at 2.00am. It is without doubt, one of the greatest fights the UFC has ever had and that goes for both men and women. So PLEASE set your recording devices and watch it again, and keep it for future reference.

Stay safe and stay well.
