I have no idea WTF is going on with this Fergusson v Khabib shit any more. No mention anywhere of Conor fighting Ferguson in Khabib's absence so I'm assuming it was all a massive wind up, and I fell for it. Big joke ha ha .

I really dont understand how they can do it on a private island. Whos sanctioning the fights, the cut men association said none of there staff are going, whos doing medicals etc, does the island have a hospital in case a fighter gets seriously injured.

I have two questions which need answering and I have no-one else to ask...

1) Take-downs. Why does everyone go mad whenever one fighter gets taken down by the other?
Before the card starts up, we're told that scoring has only four categories to judge. i.e. Striking, Grappling, Aggression, and Octagon Control. Absolutely no mention of take-downs. So how are they scored? Are they scored more, or less than a perfect take-down defence perhaps? No one ever mentions why people go so fucking crazy over a well produced take-down and it's doing my head in.

2) Whenever I watch UFC fights, I usually see a number of children in the audience, sometimes little toddlers. I'm amazed young children are even allowed entrance. Some of the fights are absolutely brutal with swollen faces, cuts and blood everywhere. Why would anyone even want to bring their kids to something like that? I'm sure some of the fighters have their kids come and watch, but it must be extremely harrowing for them to see their dads or mums get smashed to fuck. I just don't get it.

Absolutely gutted but in my heart of hearts, not totally surprised. Dana said trying to get this thing organised was the toughest thing he'd ever done or tried to do, but fair play to him and the UFC for trying.
