Am i the only one who'd happily take Ryan Fraser on a free?

The question is who he replaces. Bergwijn, Son, Lamela and Lucas are our four wide players with Sessegnon an option and Clarke still to have a chance under Jose.

Someone has to make way for us to theoretically fit him in and give him game time. Lamela has his fitness issues but is a great asset when he plays, he's also a fan favourite just like Lucas. Those are the only two we would likely be looking to lose unless Son is off.

BBC Sport gossip page cited 90mins saying that we were one of a few clubs in for Hakimi.

Would be an unreal buy for RB (and can happily play at LB too) but never going to happen, sadly.

Holblerg did a good interview with the football ramble well worth a listen. I’d say would could definitely do with his character.

Warming up to the possibility of Højbjerg as the deepest lying CM in a 433 with Lo Celso and Tanguy ahead of him. Højbjerg already knows the league and is an intelligent and hard working player who can free up Lo Celso and Tanguy to focus on creating opportunities and increasing our goal output from midfield.

Hojberg, Edouard and Meunier would be what I would call a fantastic-realistic window for me. We aren’t going to address all of our needs, but that’s a darn good start. Think the outgoing players would be KWP, Rose, Verts, Lamela (sadface), and maybe Sissoko. Hopefully that could raise the funds needed/clear wages to secure Meunier. Loan out Parrott to Celtic, if they want him, to make the Edouard deal happen.
Agree mostly with this. I would keep Sissoko as his versatility is a plus working with a small squad, if we don’t have money to spend. I would add Max Aarons to incomings and look to sell Aurier. And send Skipp And Foyth out on loan. Also Ryan Fraser in on a free also makes sense, as well as selling Lamela (too injury prone).

My squad for next season:

Lloris
(Gazzaniga, Austin)

Meunier-Alderweireld-Sanchez-Davies
(Aarons-Dier-Tanganga-Sessegnon)

Ndombele-Hojbjerg-Lo Celso
(Sissoko-Winks-Gedson/Fraser)

Son-Kane-Dele
(Lucas-Edouard-Bergwijn)

I know it’s not going to look any better than that but that defense makes me sad. Haha how did we go from one of the best defenses in Europe to hoping for Meunier and Davies at fullback next season?

for Norwich apart from Aarons I quite like Lewis, Cantwell and Godfrey, but don't think they can step up into our standard though

Hojbjerg has the hallmarks of being an underwhelming purchase that might be exactly what we need. The trail of the leeds dm went cold but clearly the scouts have been looking at a specialist dm for a while and with jose here, it's an accelerant. I love the job fabinho does and makele did. I really like Winks and Dier playing there as hybrid-dms but a pure dm is amazingly effective if you've got a lot of creativity elsewhere. I'm all for it.

I also think we should strip Norwich when they go down. They've got everything we're missing including pukki as a back up striker.

They‘ll probably want some cash in return for their players though, which may be a bit of a barrier to negotiations for us. Particularly as it sounds like Levy has replaced his wheelbarrow of cash with a leaky bucket containing nothing but a few pennies and some sweet wrappers.
