Berba.... I'll tell you now not 100% sure on it but SEEMS he agreed terms with us. The sulky genius is coming back home.

The fee Lyon and Spurs have agreed for Lloris is around £9.5m - plus a further £2-3m in bonuses (L'Equipe). What a bargain

Wonder if the Jenas to Sunderland deal collapsed due to Jenas being a former Newcastle player

Bargain on Lloris, especially as there was a 25% sell on clause in his contract - so Lyon losing a good chunk of that straight away.

Still one of the top 5 all time most expensive keepers though so a good deal but costly in the keeper stakes. Personally very happy with this as having a long term plan in goal is vital and as good as Brad has been he is on the decline and i doubt he would have had a new contract at the end of this season.

Moutinho still seems to be hot and cold depending on who you read. £22 for him would be costly however i think without him our side will have no shape this season, he is the Modric replacement in terms of pulling all the strings and making us tick. With him we are straight back inthe running for top 4.

VDV gone is a shame but for all his quality i think we have struggled to shape a team around him in all his time at the club and we could actually see us being a lot more consistant in our approach without him - can we replace his goals/assists though? Not sure. A lot of pressure on the likes of Siggy and Demby (shit nicknames).

Don't think we'll go for Berbs but i do fancy us at least trying for one other today in the forward area. This has been a hell of a window for a lot of clubs, started very slowly but has kicked on and there will be a lot of new look teams in the next few weeks; Spam, QPR, Stoke, Fulham, Everton, Liverpool and of course Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd and Spurs. Man City have to get involved surely!?!?!
