I don't get why players like Rice, Diop and Antonio are being mentioned (especially Rice, who seems to be on many wishlists). West Ham won't sell to us, and would want way more from us than any other club.

I think the transfer market has changed. Prem teams will not willingly sell their top assets based on transfer fees alone as it is more in their interest to hold onto their stars than cash in due to turnover nowadays.

If West Ham's best players want out then they are going to have to push for moves. This will make them appear to have bad attitudes.

Our best chance to get any of their players is if they get relegated.

Absolutely. Players are going to have to resort to these tactics more often to get moves.

There was a time that a good club would offer you £20m for one of your top talents and you'd happily take the cash and reinvest. Nowadays it just isn't in the club's interest to sell unless their hand is pushed.

A few more outlets reporting we're going back in for Fernandes in January. Personally think he'll be brilliant in the Prem and working with Mourinho and his team. Can play as a 10, out wide or the ball-playing midfielder in the new Mourinho double-pivot.

Trying to figure out where he plays for us. If Jose is building the team around Dele, as looks likely, we will play the 4231 with Dele at 10.

We have Tanguy, Lo Celso, Winks and Sissoko for one spot at #8. Dele, GLC, and Lamela for #10. Lucas, GLC, Lamela for the right forward/wing position.

Would be sad, but fine to move Lamela on. He’s just never actually going to be healthy. I guess Bruno could take that spot, but even then, you’re talking 40-50M+ for a guy who is unlikely to start.

Or does he start up at right wing/forward? Don’t think I’ve seen him played that high up, but I suppose he could?

It's worth trying at least. Try to get in quickly before they decide on Neuer's future.

Put a release clause in his deal for Bayern if that’s what it takes. This will be the biggest market dislocation for a top goalie in the next 5 years. We simply have to strike.

Apparently Sporting are desperate to clear debts so are willing sellers for Fernandes. Dias rumoured to be more expensive at £80m, which I cannot see happening in a million years for an unproven centre back.

Bruno Fernandes and Bruno Dias the two most heavily linked by The Sun currently. Nathan Ake also been linked.
